“Look at that, Little One. Sunshine.”
“Seems like it has been weeks rather than days. Let’s get in it.”
“What did you find?”
“I’m not sure. I think it might be a weed.”
“A weed? That’s impossible. You sure?”
“Give me another sniffing moment and I’ll tell you.”
“That’s not a weed. It’s just the way the turf sits.”
“Yeah I thought that would be a problem if true. I’m going to go take a sun bath.”
“The sun is nice in the yard too.”
“I like these black rocks. It’s like going to a spa. They feel real good on the bones.”
“I don’t know I’m just going to check out the patio.”
“You will be missing a lot. You just find a comfy place and relax.”
“All those little stones look uncomfortable.”
“Well, they really aren’t.”
“Hey look at these shadows. I think they make me look different.”
“Different how?”
“I could pass for a zebra or something.”
“I would choose an animal more fierce. Say a tiger.”
“You might be on to something, Little One.”
“Let’s hear you roar.”
“Arf.”
“We’ll work on that.”
Enjoy, ladies!

I’m so glad you have sunshine and warmth again. I can’t wait until it settles back into my area, and I can enjoy doing a little basking like Twiggy!

It’s always nice to see the sun shining. It’s sunny here today, and not much wind. True, the temperature will only peak at 8°C (46°F), but let’s be grateful for the su… oh. It’s gone again. Ah well…

I don’t know anyone who wasn’t smiling at the sun the past couple of days. They’re predicting the 70s for us today — that’s getting near to perfection.

It is. I’m going to pick up the last of the deciduous leaves today. (Of course, the live oaks continue to shed ) Love the temps.

They really know their African animals. Lots of nature documentaries, I assume.

Yes. We put animal planet on now and then when Twiggy gets real bored.

I was going to say that Lucy would make a good looking dalmation. I’m glad the sun is out and the threat of freezing is fading. Tel Twiggy those rocks do look painful.

Haha! Loved the roar. There’s nothing like sunshine after a string of cloudy days. It’s supposed to be downright spring-like here this afternoon. I never thought winter would become my favorite season, but here it is. I’ll be sorry to see it go. Hugs on the wing!

Great pictures, especially with the shadows on Lucy. Twiggy is clearly a hedonist! They do seem to talk about pumas and cougars and tigers – I imagine they’d freak out if they ever saw on for real!

Damn it looks like summer there. Even the watering hose is unfurled. Not so here. It was warmer yesterday and it will roller coaster its way back to warm again in another week or so. However nothing close to being sunbathing on the black rocks. Arf !

Is … is that really green grass I see? Oh, I am so jealous!!! Our grass is still hidden by snow, but ‘neath the snow is not green, but rather a dull shade of brown. I hope the pups enjoyed their time in the sunshine and that you got a bit of it, too!

While you were away I detailed the fact that I ripped up the grass and installed dog friendly artificial turf. 😁 Yes it is green. 🤣

AHA!!!! That ‘splains it! Although, Mick posted some pictures of his walk and it seems things are greening up nicely over there … perhaps it’s time for a vacation ‘cross the big pond!

A welcome change after your cold snap. We just had the warmest day of 2022 today here in California. It rained like crazy in December like the old days, but it’s been dry here for several weeks now. We don’t need another drought as the wildfires have been crazy the past two years.
