“These plants only like warm weather. Let’s go to the patio and see if there are more.”

“Coming. There is something here.”

“Yeah, I remember those. This dirt smells nice.”
“You are supposed to enjoy the plant, not the dirt.”
“To each his own. Anymore around here?”
“No, I think that’s it for now. There will be more. Let’s go play.”
“What are you doing?”
“I thought you said this was spring. These leaves are like it’s fall.”
“Yes, those are live oak leaves. They come down in the spring since the tree stays green all winter.
“So we should call this spring-fall?”
“You can. You’ll be alone, though.”
“Not unusual.”

We just got a herb tray. It is about 40 inches high and has eight compartments for different herbs. Can’t wait to see how it works.

Spring has sprung and put a bounce in the girls steps! We have sun and daffodils but it’s COLD 🥶 lols. The garden is looking lovely, John 💕🙂

The sign of spring plants brings a smile. I’ll have to wait until mid May in my pocket of the world before it will be warm enough for flowers and plants, but I love knowing spring is around the corner. And strange as it may seem, I’ve always loved the smell of soil (notice I called it soil and not dirt), LOL. Twiggy knows what she’s about!

Lovely spring over there, John. As Pam said, we are still in our winter-spring. It’s a beautiful sunny day today, though and I am watching my grass patches get bigger and bigger as the mounds of snow melt. Maybe we’ll be lucky and actually see crocus before the end of April!

No, she won’t be alone. I have an oak of some sort in my yard and I could swear it sheds all year long!! I finally got a leaf blower for my small patio, because sweeping was getting ridiculous!! 🍀

I’d forgotten about those live oaks — thanks for the reminder. We don’t have them here. I’m loving your Spring preparations, John, especially that Impatiens. My mom used to have them all the time, up until a few years ago, when they just didn’t seem to do well here. Perhaps somebody has tinkered with the species.
