Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy Run Ragged

“I don’t know, kid. I think the patio might be a bit hot.”

“It looks cool. The umbrella is up.”

“Well, okay, let’s give it a shot.”

“I like those lounges a lot. A girl can stretch out and be comfortable.”

“They look pretty inviting for sure.”

“That shade is going to feel good.”

“You are right, Little One. This feels good.”

“I’m telling you I have a sixth sense about what is good for goofing off.”

“Do you smell that?”

“I sure do. That scent screams puma for sure.”

“I don’t see anything around here.”

“I’m going back into the potting place. Maybe I’ll scare something up.”

“What is is, Little one?”

“Don’t wait around, Lucy. The thing is as big as a car.”

“What thing are you talking about.”

“A red-eyed puma zombie, that’s what.”

“Hey, wait for me. Little One. It’s tough outrunning a puma zombie.”

“I’m not worried about outrunning the puma zombie.”

“What are you trying to outrun then?”

“You.”

  5. More evidence that Twiggy has difficulty focusing – easily distracted. She was eyeing the loungers, but never made it. Then again, her Puma-sensitive sniffers guide her outdoor life.

  21. Too hot for heavy-duty running around, I think. Monkey would’ve already beat them to the shade … on the concrete under the umbrella. And not even a puma-zombie could make him get up if he didn’t want to. I always enjoy Lucy and Twiggy interacting, John!

“I like those lounges a lot. A girl can stretch out and be comfortable.”

See, girls are girls no matter how many extremities they happen to have. I just saw them both at a spa, sprawled out on parallel chaises, in turbans with cucumber slices on their eyes. Ah yes. 🙂

    1. We expect 106 F (41.111C) on Monday. Too hot.

      1. 😮😮😮 This summer might be hot indeed. Do the ladies stand such heat well? Parrots dislike when it is too hot. I mean not wild ones.

        Liked by 1 person

      2. Yes they both are not fond of the heat. If it is too hot they have trouble breathing. I remember my parakeet holding its wings away from its body when it got hot.

      3. 😯😯😯 True, the heat is unbearable for parakeets. We used to wash Gregory at least once a day. It helped. He enjoyed it.

  38. Darn those red eyed Puma Zombies! They are hell!
Not that I’ve ever seen one, but if Twiggy says they exist, they exist.

    I wrote a song!
🎼 Run little Twiggy! Run little Twiggy! Run run run run run! 🎼
🎼 Walk Lucy! Walk Lucy! Walk walk walk walk walk! 🎼 Then run some!
