Thursday – A Little Personal – Lucy and Twiggy Discuss a Blogging Break.

“Looks like a beautiful Day, Little one.”

“Sure does. How about a game of tag?”

“Okay, but before we play, I have some news for you.”

“News? Are we getting a new toy?”

“Not that kind of news. This is more important.”

“Oh oh. You are starting to make me nervous.”

“No need to be nervous, Little one. Dad wants everyone to know he will take a few blogging days off.”

“Oh well. Why doesn’t he just come out here and say so?”

“To be honest. He knows that readers pay more attention to us.”

“Gee, that must hurt.”

“So Twiggy and Lucy. I will be going in for some cataract surgery, and it will be tough to see for a few days.”

“I told Twiggy you would be taking a break, Boss.”

“Lucy didn’t mention surgery, though.”

“They will do each eye separately, so this will happen again next week.”

“Don’t worry, Little One. A lot of old guys have cataract surgery. So he’ll be back soon.”

“I’m not too worried, Lucy. Just tough to see your human get old.”

“He’s got a lot of mileage left. So the Friday and Saturday posts will be missing this week. He should be back on Sunday.”

“I’ll look forward to that.”

  12. Are you getting new lenses, as well as getting the cataracts removed? I happened to go into Houston for my six-month eye check yesterday, realized it’s been seven years since my surgery, and thought about reposting that little story. I hope all goes as well for you as it has for me. Hooray for modern medicine!

  15. She who must be obeyed had her eyes done just before Christmas. They really have the process down to a science. The only surprise the second dose of Twighlight there must have been some residual hangover from the first so it was a double drowsy experience. Hope everything goes to plan and you enjoy the new found clarity. And the short period of half clarity half cloudy. Enjoy the break and get well !

    1. Thank you, John. I’m pretty used to the twilight situation since after three fingers twice I go into that state. 😁 I’ll watch for the drowsy after the second. Thanks for the heads up.

  30. Twiggy just called to say her and Lucy are trying to be nonchalant about the whole thing but Lucy almost blew it when she said, she wanted to blog pretending she was you, then no one would be the wiser. “I’m glad I cut that one off at the pass,” Twiggy said, “since your readers would all think you were either drunk and dropped on your head. Now Lucy s isn’t speaking to her, but I told her, she’d get over it. In the meantime, I’m sure all will be well. It’s Medical Science at its best after all. 🙂

  43. No big deal Lucy and Twiggy!

I had mine done at a bit of a young age. Okay, I was white blind in one eye for a week, then sight slowly returned. I had to stay on the drops longer, that’s all.

Just think when Dad’s eyes are all better, he’ll be able to see you guys even better. He’ll be able see what you’re up to all the time! He’ll be able to see around corners and through walls.
You best be really good dogs! xoxo – for you guys – xo for Dad
