Picture of an old time school bus

So hop on the bus and let’s get rolling.

Here is a boy scout and his sister guiding in the crowds.

Lakeway Justice center is the location.

We are on time. Looks like a Baritone player is a little late.

Looking at the heron sculpture in the distance gave rise to an interesting view of instrument cases.

Don’t worry about donating. You’re covered.

The director is beginning the concert.

We need to find a seat.

Not here.

Maybe we can sit with the Elk.

Here we go. A nice comfortable spot with the chessplayers

I hope you had a good time. Sit back and enjoy the concert and food. Chicago wants to play one song for sure. I hope you have a great week.

  3. That’s a good-sized community band! Kudos to the community for stepping up to provide the music. We also enjoy community concerts in the park during the summer. Good choice for a closing song.

  6. Looks like fun. Though I’m confused on the pizzas. Apple pie doesn’t have apples and there are no pickles in the last one?

    1. They have some kind of naming convention that is known to them. Go figure.

  8. That photo of the cases looks like a musical funeral. Wonder how it would look in black & white. Great reason to get outside.

  9. Your community even supplies culture. You two picked a great place to move to.

    1. The Producer is 100% responsible. We decided to move after Hurricane Harvey and I stayed home with the pups and she went house hunting. She called and said I think I’ve found the perfect place. My response was only, “Buy it.” I first saw our new house when we moved in. I figured if it was good enough for her it was more than good enough for me. She did a great job.

  10. What a wonderful reason to go to the park. We have had concerts like this on the grounds of an old school (now apartments for elderly) and they’ve proven to be so popular the town is building a venue for them behind Town Hall.

I’ll have a slice, or two of pepperoni. Thanks John.

You sure live in a neat neighbourhood.
I’ll have the margherita pizza, no parm!

I’m taking my pizza and grabbing a chair, although I want to sit alone.
Lots of places away from people, so no probs.
I brought a sketch pad and pencils, so I can draw to the music!
    Thanks, John!
