Top Ten Things Not to Do On Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday

It has been 95 years since Martin Luther King Jr was born. Today we celebrate his birth, although the actual day was January 15th. Today’s Top Ten is focused on just one thing not to do. Do not hate your neighbor, and learn from Dr. King’s non-violent approach to change.

I wish for a day of peace that will become so comfortable that it extends into a week, then a month, then a year. Who knows? It could last a lifetime.

Let’s hope Dr. King’s example serves to guide our behavior going forward.

  8. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was/is one of my heroes. He lived his truths until his final days. There are few people who are as inspirational as he was. Peace–today, tomorrow, forever. Our collective choice…if only, if only. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

    1. You are so right. If only. I think there are more people in the world who want peace than those who want war. I wish we could all get together and threaten the war-wanters with an ass whipping if they don’t stop it.

Probably my favorite MLK quote is, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Amen!
