Well, we are back to finish the scavenger hunt. If you missed part I, you can go HERE and check it out. We will be doing the even numbers today. We are catered by Nixta of Austin. Our entertainment is Chicago.
So jump on, and let’s go.
So, right away, we have a problem. This should be number two, but it looks like someone took it. So, after we complete the puzzle, we will have to figure out which letter goes with the number 2.
Ah. At least we have number 4.
Number six, taking a nap.
Number 8 overlooks the drought-ravished Lake Travis.
A certain number, 10.
Number 12 in the mountain laurel.
High flying number 14.
Number 16 on the ground.
Looks like a ground pandemic. Number 18 is there as well.
Number 20 in the trees.
Number 22 has been benched.
Number 24 on a spindly oak.
Numer 26 marks the end of the hunt.
The missing letter was U. The puzzle is solved. I hope you had a good time. Now relax, have some food and listen to the music.
Well done with the clues and figuring out #2. I’m a long-time Chicago fan. Saw them in concert once. Brilliant!

We had gusts up to 25 MPH. Hard to keep the ties in place.

I solved the puzzle last week, but it’s good to know I got it right. The lake is looking sad. I’m sorry to see that. You picked a great song for this. I think I’ll sit and listen while I munch on a breakfast taco. I hope you have a great week, John.

The Produce lined up the song so I can’t take credit. I knew you would get the puzzle right. I hope you have a great week as well. 😁

Scavenger hunts are fun! It makes me sad to see Lake Travis so low. I hear some rain may be in your forecast. Fingers crossed.

I heard that there is a ten year cycle on the lake. We are into the third year of low. *sigh* Thanks, Joan.

The Case of the Missing Number. Solved by that super sleuth and wordsmith extraordinaire, John “Boss” Howell. And if I had me one of those tacos to chew on right about now, I mighta figured it out.
Thank you for some Chicago on a Sunday morning.

Trombone here.

Interesting. Our trombone player was of the class clown persuasion.

I had that rep as well. Got tossed out of music class doing a stand up routine with my trombone before the teacher arrived. He came in just when I was doing fart imitations with the base notes. It was only a week and worth it.

Back in college, I went to an Iron Butterfly concert. Those were the days when they played in the college gym. The back-up band was Chicago Transit Authority, a new band. A girlfriend at that time dated a DJ from NYC, and he gave her the CTA album before it was released, which we nearly wore out listening to it to death. When I got to the concert, I was singing along all the songs with the band, which no one else knew. The band stopped partway through and said, “Someone out there has really good taste.” Cool story! And yes, I still have the album.

I remember them as CTA. I just so happened to be living in Chicago at the time they came on the scene.
