Today we were going to go on a Valentine’s story walk, but due to the danger of falling limbs, from our ice storm, the walk is canceled. So we will have to do whatever we can to salvage our trip. We are catered by Olamaie in Austin. Our entertainment is Chris Isaak.
Menu
So let’s go.
Our first stop is a house filled with love.
This one shows better at night. There are red up lights which you can see a little.
A wise dog with a heart headband.
Warning signs regarding falling limbs.
Yes we have deer and everyone is warned to drive carefully.
Lots of downed limbs to clean up this week.
Someone definately loves Valentines Day.
Here is the best display ever. What’s not to like about Snoopy and Minnie Mouse.
I hope you liked the brief tour and now it is time for food and music. I hope you have a great week and a Happy Valentine’s Day.
Cool decorations. Shame about the falling limbs issue. Hope that’s not a problem anymore.

Still broken limbs in the trees. Not enough crews to get them taken care of quickly. Most are out of the way.

That’s a shame. Hope it clears up soon then.

Your neighbourhood certainly likes to decorate for special occasions. I like that there is respect for the deer that share the neighbourhood.

Thanks, Darlene. The deer were here before anyone, so we have to respect their domain.

Even Valentine’s Day celebrated in your neighborhood! They do go all-out!
I can’t decide between the Roast Duck and the Beef Tartare, can I get a Go container for one?

Of course. You can have a to-go for the entire menu if you wish. 😁

What a festive tour! In our neighborhood, driveways boast an abundance of off-road toys for high desert enthusiasts–I’ve seen one home with decorations. 😊

Ours are golf carts which we hate. People act like fools on those things.

LOL! No golf carts in our area, but there’s always the roar of an off-road bike. I love the sound because I know someone is having fun.

That would be like a needle in my eye. Fun for them torture for me. Your outlook is so much better.

It’s good that people are warned about the danger of falling limbs and to watch out for the deer. Your neighborhood sure likes to decorate for occasions, John. The wise dog sure brought a smile to my face. Have a good day. 🙂

I got excited about seeing a deer in our yard Friday. (They mostly stick to the woods around here.)
Loved the Chris Isaak song – it’s part of the playlist of my second Driscoll Lake novel.

I love that song. I was living in a temporary apartment while on long term assignment and the neighbor next door played the song a lot. There was a bitter sweet connection for me since I was away from home.

John,
Glad your tour went well. It sure seemed like you had a lot of support.
But I’m also happy to see you posting again. I do look forward to your stuff and all the replies. Especially the funny ones.
Let’s see your “decorated house”. 🙂

John, your Valentines tour has prompted me to take down my inflatable Christmas display. My neighbors thank you.

What a special place you live! And the community protects the deer as well as itself! I’ll have the red rice and Gulf shrimp while I sit here and rock slowly to Kris Isaak.

Thanks for the fun tour, John. I’ve never seen the big blow-up yard decorations for Valentine’s before, but I give them full points for the wonderful spirit of whimsy. Happy almost Valentine’s Day. Hugs.

Another wonderful walk around your neighborhood, John! ALWAYS fun, but even more so with lots of hearts everywhere. 😊
Tomorrow is the 37th anniversary of our own wedding day, so Mark and I will be doing something special. Probably low-key, but still, special. He told me way back then we should get married on Valentine’s Day because it would be so romantic. I suspect his ulterior motive was that it would be impossible for him to forget our anniversary! 😂😂😂 But whichever way I look at it, it worked! 😁
Hope your Valentine’s Day is a happy one!
