Thursday – A Little Personal – Lucy and Twiggy Outside in the Warm Weather

“Can you believe it is over 80 degrees (26.6 C) out here?”

“Yesterday, it seemed like it was freezing.”

“Yeah, so come on, let’s round up something to chase.”

“Something to chase? You feel up to that?”

Yes indeed. Hey, look. Is that giraffe over there?”

“If so, the water buffalo and puma will make short work of it.”

“The buffalo lowers its head and gets ready to charge.”

“The puma sniffs the air to make certain it’s safe.”

“Step by step, slowly, the water buffalo stalks its prey.”

“The puma remains in reserve in case that pack of pesky hyenas is around.

“Hey, puma. Enough reserve already. It’s time to strike.”

“The puma thinks it might be time to strike the bossy buffalo.”

“The buffalo is ready for such treachery.”

“The puma plans on a flanking maneuver.”

“Well, that does it. The giraffe just took off.”

“I didn’t realize they could move that fast.”

“What’s with the puma turning on the buffalo?”

“The giraffe was so far away that the puma figured a closer target was easier.”

“So much for teamwork and loyalty.”

“You do remember pumas are cats, right?”

“Good point.”

  1. What a fun imaginary adventure! Oh, the difference of 5,000 feet — it’s below freezing in my part of the world. But if Lucy and Twiggy visited, they’d love to chase the pronghorn. Hope you and the girls have a fantastic day. 😊

I love the conversations that one can easily hear.

    1. So far she is doing well. She is losing strength in her hind legs so we have put runners down in the house to prevent her from slipping on the tile. Once she slips she has a tough time getting up. In the yard she is fine.

  26. I had someone on a podcast I listen to allude to it being 80+F in Dallas. I figured the girls would be warming up to that development. It’s almost 70F here right now, but tomorrow night it’s supposed to be 25. It’s a brave new world, John.🌬

Now wonder your girls’ game of Puma and Water Buffalo was miffed by a giraffe, it’s the heat. You’re having delusions.

Girls, could you please tell dad that I’m crazy busy. torontolife.com is sending a photographer next Saturday, to take pics of me working on an Art Gown.
I’ve had 2 interviews, and am stressed and fractured a tooth in my sleep.

As you are girls, you will understand that having my first pic taken since pre covid and growing my grey hair out is scary.

Give my OX en to dad!

(and who cares anyway, Grey is an in color.) Sorry about your tooth. Maybe you need a bullet to bite at night. (oops bad rhyme) Dad says thanks for the OX. Here’s some from Lucy and me. 🐩X 🐩X 🐩X 🐩X We know the poodle doesn’t mean anything but there is a handsome one down the street.

  36. Summer gathers pace surely and steadily. We in the tropics generally skip distractions like spring and head straight into summer. I believe water buffaloes get lazy in the summer. The puma may want to remember that.
