Today we will go to the Activity Center and walk on the Fairy Trail. This is a display by Parks and Recreation to celebrate spring. We are catered by Zaza Mediterranean of Austin, and our entertainment is Little Big Town
On the way to the trail is the work going on in the sculpture garden. Here is a shot of the bridge crossing Hurst Creek. The green bumpers are to keep any construction materials out of the water.
We had a shot at the pre-concrete installation a couple of weeks ago. This is newly poured.
The entrance to the fairy walk.
A friendly elk. (All the figures are lit at night)
A view of flowers and a very large dove.
Here is a bluebonnet among the rocks.
Some deer.
A different view of the flowers and dragonfly.
For Dan, pieces of equipment working on a water retention structure.
Mushrooms galore. I will admit nighttime would have been better, but I’m sure you have better things to do with your evening.
Sit back and enjoy the food and entertainment. I hope you have a wonderful week.
Looks like aa awesome display. I would love to see it at night.

Chicken fajita, please. One is enough. Beautiful project. Permanent, I assume. Love the pickup truck in the video. Thanks, John. Have a great week, yourself. By the way, how are the dogs?

One fajita coming up. These are temporary. The come down Monday morning. Lucy the boxer is still holding her own. She is much weaker but is still loving life. Thanks so much for asking.

Well, having gone through it without previous three, I know how you’re feeling. I even wrote stories about the last two and the local fish wrapper published them. I heard from folks I didn’t know. I’m keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, John.

A very nice morning stroll to start a beautiful Sunday morning…thanks for your time and efforts. And, as to “kicking yourself “ you better let Molly handle that… it’s not easy kicking one’s self.

Fairy Trail is a long way from Elkhart-John. Nice stuff but I never would have …..
Anyway have a great day. Winter is returning to Chicago tomorrow.

Tom, who are you kidding, you do this kind of stuff all the time. What about those plant seeds you keep sending me and telling me they bloom all year long?

I don’t think winter ever leaves Chicago. Thanks Tom.

I’ll have the chicken fajita platter, hold the hot sauce, please! I love this fairy walk … I want to come back sometime at night and see all the figures lit up. Thanks for the fun this morning! Oh, and some Sunday I think we should all bring some buckets, cleaning supplies, and elbow grease and give the ol’ bus a good washing!

That is not dirt. I have camouflaged the bus to look like a derelict. It is painted to look junky.

Such a pretty display. I love when communities try hard to make themselves better places for their residents to live (and if a few tourists are impressed, too, well, that’s just lagniappe!)

This was really a treat, John. I didn’t know what to expect, but I loved all the mushrooms and flowers. The menu is marvelous too. I haven’t had a gyro in a very long time. There was a good little Lebanese restaurant near my office in DC/Arlington. Have a great new week. Hugs.
