Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy Figure it Out

“Twiggy. Where are you?”

“Over here.”

“Over where. For heaven’s sake. You hiding?”

“No. I’m in plain sight by the couch.”

“Plain sight? You look like you are part of the porch.”

“Well, I was just mulling over the idea of a Puma being a cat.”

“Goodness. That was two weeks ago. So you still haven’t come to grips with that fact?”

“How would you like knowing your alter ego uses a litterbox.”

“That’s ridiculous. Pumas are wild. They don’t have a litter box.”

“They use the woods?”

“I don’t know about that, but I know they are wild and dangerous.”

“Okay then. You’ve helped me a lot.”

“I’m glad about that. Now do you want to play Puma and Wildebeest?”

“Let me get used to the idea that I will play a cat.”

“Oh, come on. It’s no biggie. You just start sneaking up on the Wildebeest. It’ll all come back.”

“Let me get into character for a minute.”

“This is not the Actor’s Circle. It’s our backyard. Just leap off the porch and chase me.”

“You know Lucy. I’m just not feeling it today. I think I need the dressing room for a while.”

“I don’t know, Little One. If I were the director, I would throw you off the set.”

“Yeah, and then you’ll have to deal with my agent as well as the SAG and AGFA. I’ll be in my trailer running lines.”

“Puma’s don’t have dialogue.”

“Grrrrrrrrrrrrrowl. What do you call that?”

“A sign that it is time for lunch.”

  7. It’s good to see Lucy out in the sunshine, but it does look like she’s lost some weight. At least her inner Wildebeest still is roaming!

    1. Yes, she is losing weight. The cancer is taking its toll. Her spirit is high and she is still living her life. The Wildebeest thrives within her for sure. Thanks, Linda.

  10. It takes true talent to play a cat. It’s harder than you think to lie completely still during all those extended nap times. And then there’s the grooming and all those condescending looks at your human.

  12. Poor thing. (I mean Lucy for having to deal with the drama.) Not sure if Twiggy is having an identity crisis or a swelling ego. Either way, the ending had me chuckling. Sending them both ear scratches. Thanks for the smiles, John.

    1. Thank you for the ear scratches, Miss Staci. 😁. I think Twiggy is just trying to get into the character of Puma.

  19. I also was going to say that Lucy looks thin. Can you give her supplements? I hope she is not in any pain, but I’m sure you monitor that carefully. She and Twiggy have such a bond, and Let’s eat is a perfect way to end the puma and wildebeest standoff. Ear scritches to them both.

    1. Yes, Lucy gets what she needs but the cancer has a way of stepping up metabolism to a point that there is no off set. She is not in any pain and is receiving pain medication to keep it that way. She is beyond the projected life span in the original prognosis so every day is a gift. Thanks, Noelle.

  31. Pumas have an innate sense of when it’s time to eat. I think Twiggy has her role figured out. Besides the writers are on strike.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Yeah that’s true about the writers. Twiggy would probably try to ad lib and that would not work out well. Maybe a hiatus is in order.

    1. I don’t think a cat would enjoy it here. Twiggy’s trying to figure out how to get a new canine character now that she knows a Puma is a feline.
