The day is beautiful, and you can see a neighbor and his dog Reilly coming back from a walk. What you can’t see is the neighbor’s other dog Heidi barking at my feet as I take the picture. The temp is in the 70’s with plenty of sunshine. The sun is so low this time of year that the shadows are long even in the morning. The wave action is quite minor due to the low winds.
Last week’s photo

Hi John. That’s a compelling photo. Interesting commentary about the sun and shadows.
Have a sublime Sunday. Hugs!

This might be my favorite John. I think it’s the dog but I also like the long shadows of winter. The color is so rich, the water actually looks inviting.

The water is 65 degrees right now. A little chilly for us guys. Thanks Dan.

The contrast between the two is amazing. Are they from the same time of day?

Same time. The clearer photo (last week’s) is an overcast sky.

Amazing how much of a difference that makes.

John, I’m just pea-green with envy over your beautiful view! We can’t seem to buy any sunny days here of late, and temps in the 40s can’t hold a candle to yours. On the plus side, at least I’m not shoveling!!

There you go. When our weather gets bad we say the same thing.

Beautiful photo. Somehow looking at the long shadows where you are is a lot more interesting than looking at them here. Merry Christmas!
