As you can see it is a little overcast today. The sky to the right looks like rain in the photo, but it is merely clouds. The guy in the foreground is a tourist who I had hoped would move, but I think he fell asleep there. He was fiddling with his camera and the mosquitos were bad enough I could not wait for him to finish. You can see the tides are not coming in as far as they were last week and the beach is clear of any seaweed. The seas are still rough so I would expect more seaweed later in the week. The family in the back got here early to protect a space. Also, we have severe thunderstorms forecasted which will cause additional water on the beach. The morning glories on this side of the dune are sleeping in today.
Last weeks photo shows the effects of the rains and heavy seas.

I hope the storms aren’t bad John. Batten down the hatches. But the waves look beautiful.
It would be interesting to compare one about now to the very first one.
I didn’t think about the mosquitoes being bad… I have a love/hate relationship with mosquitoes. I hate them but they absolutely LOVE me.
Thanks for the beautiful view! Huge hugs.

Ha…! That reminded me of a long-forgotten story. The only part i remember is about a vampire who got drunk from biting/drinking from a wino. 😀

Guessing the family didn’t watch the local weather? Interesting to see the photo with humans in there.

Yes. They do creep in.

Those clouds seem low and preparing for a cloudburst or downpour. Ha ha. I agree with a previous comment about the people on the beach not checking the weather forecast. Can’t they read the sky? I wonder if they got caught in the rain. 🙂

Protecting a space? How crowded does the beach get on a nice day?

Very crowded. I hope to get a shot to let you know.

When the air is thick and the breeze dies down, the mosquitoes can be ferocious! No-see-ums, too.

What a great idea for a recurring photo post! I really enjoy seeing the different views of the water and sky; watch out for those hungry skeeters, John!

Ahh, yes. Comforting to know our views are the same. Bit of sun, it seems. Hold on to that, John.
