Wednesday Story Day – AKA Hump Day

Drunk in College

Wednesday Story Day again. Last week we left Ben acting on the suggestion of Father Lightfoot (Raymond)and trying (in his own way) to seduce Mrs. Worth. I’m almost afraid to go back for fear we’ll see Trudy Worthe embraced in a long hug with Ben. Go back we must, or there will be no point in reading this post any further. (tempting isn’t it?)
“There now doesn’t that feel good.”
“For heaven’s sake, you are holding me too tight. I can’t get my breath.”
“Oh really. You know when I was in High school I was the wrestling champion of my state.”
“That’s not too romantic. Especially when I’m having a tough time breathing.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. Is that better?”
“Yes, much better. I must say you have powerful arms.”
“Thank you. I think they were made to be wrapped around you.”
“You naughty boy. That was sweet.”
“Tell me. Do you trust me a little more?”
“I have to admit lying here in your arms does feel good.”
“You didn’t answer my question.”
“Yes. I trust you more.”
“Do you think we have a future together?”
“What do you mean future?”
“Well, stuff like having sex and hanging out.”
“I’m not sure I could have sex with you.”
“Why?”
“For one thing, I’m married. For another, there is no end of the road. It would be sex for sex’s sake.”
“What’s wrong with that arrangement?”
“I just need security too much I think. If I had sex with you, I would have to leave Mr. Worthe, and he and I have too much joint property to have that happen.”
“Do you have to tell him?”
“He would know.”
“How?”
“He is superb at picking up little signs. He might smell your aftershave or detect a change in me.”
“Sounds like you have gone through this before.”
“I have, and it wasn’t pretty.”
“Any chance of fooling him?”
“Not a chance.”
“Maybe we can think of a way.”
“I’m all ears.”

And so the tangled web is wove. Or is it?

This is making me think of a soap opera where the writers are fighting. One wants a controversial romance and the other wants a spy thriller. It all depends on which one gets to work first. 🙂

You have described the inside of my head. Add that to the fact that these characters have all but taken over.:-)

Hope you can get them under control before they take completely over. Especially Worthe.

John, I think you were on the right track when Trudy said: “I can’t get my breath” – See, I could script the story line from that point, and there would be way less of an ‘eeeeew-ick’ factor.

Yes, but. We have to face the fact that this is not going to end well.(I’ll try to hold the ick factor to a reasonable level. I’m not totally in control here. These people have a mind of their own. 🙂

I love that about characters. I haven’t experienced that, but the SoCS prompts do have a tendency to get away from me.

As the British and also Indians say “Things are ‘hotting’ up” Now I’m beginning to wonder just how far this will go. It’s starting to sound like “The Graduate”. I’m starting to picture Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft in these roles. 🙂 — Suzanne

I know Ben has a few tricks up his sleeve, but Mrs. Worthe is no dummy. I’m interested in hearing who will fool whom…and what kind of fallout looms on the horizon!

This just keeps digging deeper. I don’t think Ben is ever going to see a happy ending.

I just noticed that you and Charles used the same graphic today. I told Charles he’d better go buy a lottery ticket. Let me know when you guys win.

Oh, they got chummy way too fast. Ben is not as dumb as we may have thought he was and Trudy is not to be trusted!
