It is Wednesday Story Day again and last week we left Lucas and Jason McDonnell, Lucas’ lawyer in deep discussion about Lucas’ sister. We should go back since I see the lawyer has additional questions.
“So, Lucas you called her a loser?”
“Yes. I should have kept my mouth shut.”
“Let’s not worry about that now. When she came at you what did you do?”
“I shoved her and she fell.”
“I thought you said you hit her.”
“Well shove or hit. What’s the difference?”
“A lot. Tell what happened after you shoved her.”
“As I said she fell.”
“What did you do next?”
“I checked her and she was knocked out.”
“How do you know?”
“Well, it was like she was sleeping.”
“You could see her breathing?”
“Yes for sure.”
“Then what?”
“I ran for help.”
“Ran for help? Where did you run?”
“I had to go down the street. I pounded on a few doors but no one was home.”
“Then what happened?”
“A guy called 911.”
“So the EMTs came to the house?”
“I don’t know.”
“You don’t know? What do you mean you don’t know?”
“I ran.”
“Oh, that is information I don’t need.”
“What do you mean?”
“Why did you run?”
“I was scared. I didn’t know what to do.”
“Yeah. Why is it when we get scared we decide to run?”
“I’m in trouble huh?”
“Let me think before I answer that question.”

I think one of two things. Lucas if not too bright or he’s lying. The lawyer sounds like he’s getting a headache. A good installment, John. I love the little squirrel up top. 😀 — Suzanne

Thanks, Suzanne. I happen to stumble on the squirrel. Made me laugh. 😀

So Lucas went from door to door for help, but no-one was at home. Meanwhile, ‘a guy’ called 911. What guy? Where did he come from and how did he know that there was an emergency. And how, if he was running away, did Lucas know that this mystery person had called 911? Sounds to me that, if the lawyer is worth his salt, he’ll have to tell Lucas that he is, indeed, in a lot of trouble.

Nice summary, Keith. All things to wonder about.

There is something off about that explanation.

Yes he is. i loved how he admitted up front that he killed his sister and now it is clear he left her still breathing. I liked the meme too.

Well, I guess poor old Lucas is still a bit mixed up after his fall from the ladder, eh! Did he fall on his head? So many questions! Thanks for an entertaining episode, John!

I love the meme, but I suspect the attorney is thinking that his headache has just begun. No mid-week for him. 😊

I think you are right. We need to wait for the answer to Lucas’ question. Thanks, Gwen.

The squirrel is perfect today. 🙂 I think Lucas better start blaming his poor memory on his own fall or medication and figure a way out of this mess. The lawyer has his work cut out for him for sure. Good segment, John.

Thanks, Jan. I kinda looked to the squirrel for assurances. 😀

I’m still not trusting anything Lucas says. I think he’s a chameleon.

I ran. No questions about whether Lucas came back or where he ran to or even who he ran to.I may not trust Lucas but I certainly don’t want this lawyer if I’m in trouble unless he proves himself in court.

That little squirrel looks like he’s watching a football game!! As for Lucas, well, I guess it would make sense for him to run. After all, he was smart enough to recognize that, if something awful had happened to her, he was going to get the blame. Now it’s that sneaky lawyer I’m not trusting!

Ha haha. I seem to keep switching the trust factors. I need to settle down to one villian

I can’t tell if Lucas is a genius or a taco short of a combination platter.

Oooh, ooh, I know, I know – yes, Lucas, you’re in trouble. He seems too smart to be as stupid as he sounds. The lawyer has got to be wondering why he answered the phone. Great episode, John. although, my head hurts a little.

If your head hurts, we’re in trouble.

Ha! I agree with Suzanne that the lawyer seems to be getting a headache. 😀
Poor Lucas just can’t get his story straight… He should have stuck with the amnesia. I sense many more twists on your dance floor, John. Huge hugs.

Oh, Lucas. You are innocent (I think), but a bit too slow on the uptake. Thank goodness you have your lawyer. Great episode, John.
