Wednesday Story Day again and last week we were treated to another Frank Plano interrogation. This time it was Trish’s turn to come under the white-hot light. Frank asked the question on whether she has sex with the lawyer Jason McDonnell and she reacted as if he had made a statement of fact. It was an exciting moment, but now I see Trish barging into Jason McDonnell’s office and right by the receptionist who is now chasing Trish as she bursts through Jason’s door. I must say this could be good. Let ’s get over there.
“Why Ms. Severide. How nice to see you. I didn’t realize you were on my appointment schedule today. It is okay Mrs. Peterson. I will talk to Ms. Severide.”
“Yes, sir. Shall I close the door.’
“I would appreciate that. Thank you.”
“Cut the crap, Jason.”
“You seem a tad upset. Would you like to take a seat?”
“Don’t give me that lawyer voice, Jason. I’m really upset with you.”
“Upset. Why on Earth are you upset?”
“You had that hound dog of yours come and ask me if you and I had sex?”
“I did no such thing, Trish.”
“You told him we had sex then?”
“ Trish, believe me. I did not say such a thing. Why would I?”
“I don’t know. Maybe to get him to believe you and I have a thing or to brag. I’m confused.”
“See it makes no sense. Did Frank tell you I told him?”
“No, he said something like other people have no integrity.”
“So he was just fishing I think.”
“Why would he care about what you and I do?”
“Frank is a very thorough investigator. I think when things are at loose ends he wants to ties them up.”
“What does that mean?”
“Someone told him you and I were lovers. That’s what I mean.”
“Oh, Jason. Now I’m scared. Who is spying on us?”
“You know Trish when I took this case I did it because I thought Lucas was being railroaded by Sheriff Gibson. I’m beginning to think this is a much bigger deal than just finding out the facts behind Lucas’ innocence.”
“That scares me even more.”
“Here let me hold you. You have nothing to be afraid of as long as I’m here.”
“This always feels good. I don’t care what people say. I love being in your arms.”
“There are some mean folds out there and I’m going to find out what they are up to for sure.”
“I feel so much better now. I’m glad I came.”
“Yes, I always love seeing you.”
“Mostly without clothes though.”
“Now, you be good and let me handle this.”
“Will I see you later?”
“I’ll call you.”
“Okay then. Till later. Bye.”
“Give us a kiss. Till later then. Please close the door. Thanks.”

Oh, no! You mean they are? Are they? If not, then what? And what will this mean to Lucas? Is he going to get any? (justice, I mean).

Justice is just another word for revenge, Keith. Not sure about that.

Is it possible to get e any more confused than I was before and then to add that a fictitious character is getting nooky when I’m not is just adding insult to injury John.,

Uh, oh. Frank was right. I wonder if someone told him or he was just fishing. I’d guess fishing. Or maybe he just knows how Jason has acted with other women in the past. Jason didn’t seem too worried. If I was Trish I wouldn’t count on having him in my future. A good installment, John. 🙂 — Suzanne

Just when I was thinking two plus two was going to equal four…
Who’s guilty? – We don’t know.
Who’s having/had an affair? – Everybody
Who can we trust? – No one. No one in Antion, IL and no one in Port Aransas, TX – well, maybe Lucy, Bailey and Twiggy
Who’s next? – I can’t possibly imagine, but I’ve pulled my seat-belt as tight as I can and I’m thinking about putting some pillows around my head before opening next Wednesday’s email.
Great job, John.

Ha ha ha. The pillows might be a good idea. I think Jason is going to be pretty angry at Frank for letting fly with the question about his relationship with Trish. Of course, what do I know? 😀

That’s the scary part, John. Wondering what you know. Who’s your source?

The sad part is is all in my head. No one is the source.

Another twist and more questions. Good grief, who can we trust? Great writing, John. 🙂

I’m not sure who we can trust, Gwen. I still saw a wide open field of suspects. Gotta wonder. Thanks. 😀

Can’t say I’m surprised – but I’m still no closer to figuring it out.

I just jumped in on this frakus in the office. Sounds like it is careening to something a bit unexpected.

Hmmm. Hmmm… and double hmmm… I’m just going to have to let this one stew for awhile, John. I have no idea what twisting tangled web is up your sleeve. Maybe I’m just mind-numb from Mordor. Can’t brain right now — Orcs ate it. Although it did get “Harper Valley PTA” playing in my head. Nice little brain-worm to replace Don’t Bring Lulu for a while. (Narrows eyes into squinty face) But I know you’re up to something…

Jason, you are not the man I thought you were. Do you have a bigger motive here? Seems that way. Frank is holding all the cards. And John, Jill Weatherholt is right- this really is better than General Hospital. Seriously, you could write their script far better. On a side note, I have been meaning to tell you that I love how you write your opening paragraph to each episode. Thanks, John. Biting the celery nails till next week.

Thank you, Jennie. You are the first to tell me they enjoy my droll opening. It actually should be read aloud with some mystery music in the background. 😀

Droll opening? No way! It is a subtle fire-starter. It encapsulates the “You were there” with “Guess what happened.” Really effective.

Trish needs someone to save her from herself. And I’m back to having no idea other than Jason isn’t someone we should trust. However, I like how forward he is. Smiles.

Now that the horizontal qualities of the relationship between Ms Severide and McDonnell has been confirmed, I’ve got a feeling there’s more to this unholy union. Hmmm.
