“So what are you looking at, Twiggy?”
“I’m keeping an eye out for the UPS guy.”
“Oh, Boss Twiggy is on the UPS kick again.”
“Can’t you take her mind off it?”
“You know how stubborn bulldogs are. I’ll try.”
“You could always take her outside.”
“So Twiggy would it help to know the guy came through already.”
“Now how would knowing that help me?”
“See, Boss. It’s hopeless.”
“What about the outside tip I gave you?”
“Gee boss. I was looking forward to a nice nap in here.”
“Come on Lucy. It is a beautiful day.”
“Hey, Lucy. This was a great idea. We should have done it sooner.”
“I know Little One. The sun feels great. Come on down and take a load off.”
Yeah. This is the life, Lucy.”
“Stretch out and relax. Feel the sun’s warmth.”
“Hold on. Is that the UPS truck I hear?”
“He already came toda—. Aw, forget it, Lucy. That just may be him Little One. You should start barking right about now.”
It’s possible that Twiggy will have a forever lasting love for the UPS truck. Oh wait – but what about FedEx?

Maybe Twiggy is keeping an eye out for those porch pirates. They seem to be everywhere! Lucy’s expressions always crack me up. 🙂

Yeah, a porch pirate wouldn’t stand a chance. Thanks, Jill.

I wonder if the UPS guy knows he has such an enthralled audience just waiting for his arrival, LOL.
These pictures were great. You do such a fun job of matching dialogue to the photos. Thursday wouldn’t be Thursday without seeing the girls 🙂

Thak you, Mae. Both drivers know of their fame. The FedEx drive has a game where he tries to sneak up without being noticed. He is usually caught on the exit.

You’ve got sunshine? Lucky you! And lucky puppies. If waiting’s the name of the game, it’s always good to be able to do it in nice conditions. Who cares if the UPS truck arrives? It’s the waiting that counts — like fishing with an unbaited hook!

Ha haha. I’ve thrown a line in without bait. The relax was the important part. Not interested in fighting a fish. Thanks, Linda.

No matter the breed, I think dogs hate the UPS trucks. I don’t think they much like FedEx either. 🙂 Great dialogue, John, and the photo matches are perfect.

Thank you, Gwen. There is something about those trucks. I can’t understand it since they deliver dog food and toys. You would think they would be looked upon as pals.

Love Lucy’s expression, and Twiggy is on a mission. You can never trust those UPS trucks.

They are big and brown. Not very trustworthy.

We’ve got rain (again) today. It beats the colder stuff up north, though.
I’ve got two dogs you go nuts when UPS, or anyone else, comes through. (One of my dogs has anxiety; you wouldn’t believe the things he barks at—a paper bag, a blowing leaf, water coming from the hose into the pool…)
Anyway, thanks for my Thursday morning smile. The girls always help me start the day with joy.

We don’t have any squirrels (they can’t swim well.) but gull patrol is similar.

You must remain vigilant, John. These neighborhood intruders are dangerous. Does she realize that you order things? She might want to have a word with you about that.
I love the expression on Lucy’s face in that second photo.

Thank you, Dan. Lucy does come to me with worried looks. It is usually because she does not approce of Twiggy’s outragious behavior.

Sunshine? Ooh, I’m pea-green. We’ve got rain and fog, followed this afternoon by rapidly dropping temperatures. Central Illinois winters aren’t for wimps! Love the exchange between Lucy and Twiggy, too.

Twiggy is getting so big. As always, great dialogue with those two. My dogs bark at Fed Ex, UPS, and Amazon trucks. They bark at delivery and service people (mailman especially) or anyone walking by. They are 20 & 30 pound ankle biters, but great watch dogs. 🐶 Christine

John,
UPS is appointment viewing as far as Twiggy is concerned. Hey, it’s cheaper than cable.
I missed you first thing this morning Boss. Had my java but you hadn’t posted yet. Yep . . I fall into that old creature of habit thing sometimes, LOL.

Haha. I like Lucy’s skeptical expression. It’s a bonus treat to get glimpses of the lovely homes around you in the background, John.
Ya gotta love UPS. Believe it or not, I’ve decided to use UPS to move. Since I’m not taking any furniture, their “ground with freight pricing” deal is my best option. Plus, unlike any of the U-pack it or pod places, UPS will come up all my stairs to get the boxes and load them onto the truck. Sweet!
Have a satisfying Saturday. Hugs.
