Stream of Consciousness Saturday – Prompt “Where”

Stream of Consciousness

Where in the world does Linda Hill find these prompts? It is Stream of Consciousness Saturday, and this weeks prompt is “where.” There is a little more to it, so I’ll let Linda explain.

Linda’s words. “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “where.” Start your post with the word “where” and write whatever comes to you. Bonus points if you end your post with “where” too. Enjoy!”

Now you know why I started the post with “where.” If you would like to have fun like this, go to Linda’s blog and read how easy it is. Here is the link.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS August 10/19

“Where” by John W. Howell © 2109

“Where, oh, where has my little dog gone.”

“Another nut case Saturday I see.”

“Oh, where oh, where can she be.”

“Sigh.”

“With her tail cut short and he nose cut long.”

“Big finish now.”

“I forgot the next stanza.”

“You are kidding.”

“No. I’ve drawn a blank.”

“Are you feeling okay?”

“Yeah, I feel fine.”

“Not like you to forget a verse.”

“I know. Maybe I’m slipping.”

“That train pulled out long ago.”

“Very funny. Now I’m concerned.”

“Please. It’s just a dumb song that was made up eons ago.”

“Makes me wonder, though.”

“About what?”

“The brain.”

“How so.”

“When slips occur.”

“Why?”

“No, not why.”

“What then?”

“With all that information gone. To where.”

Now I can’t remember this nursery rhyme/song either, John. Where does all the information go?

In a cloud somewhere. Problem is we lost the passcode. Thanks, Robbie.

To where does it go, indeed!!
I came to the conclusion that my brain is a black hole – everything gets sucked in, but nothing is allowed to leave!!

I’m pretty sure you know where both your little dogs have gone, John. Nice job with the prompt. Don’t spend all the bonus points in one place.

My dad would sing little ditties when I was a child, and this was one of them. I’m sure you remember the next line, but your humility is allowing us to struggle. 😀 Have a great weekend, John.

When you forget the next stanza to a song or rhyme, just sing “La, la, la, something, something, something” and leave it at that, John.

Lol! Great use of the prompt again! It’s amazing where all that useless information disappears to over the years. I say it’s all up there, but the file cabinet is locked. 🙂

Lost to the ether. Though I’m now worried about people who cut dog noses. That sounds like a crime.

If you’re young, it goes to the cloud. If you’re old enough, it goes in a file cabinet in the back of the warehouse. I’m convinced that we forget more as we age because there are so many files. Of course things are going to get lost now and then.

To where indeed! They go to our mental storage locker and remain there under lock and key until we punch out of this life. After which we can go and visit them, as if old photographs.

They go to our humongous Rolodex in our head to pop out when we no longer want them. Or can remember why they popped out. Or the one we wanted to share it with is no longer in the room…
