Views of the Neighborhood – Holiday Decorations

I thought it would be fun to stroll the neighborhood and take photos of some of the house decorations. Hope you enjoy it.

This house has a very eclectic display. If you look closely you can see so,me pumpkins and a silver skeleton on the porch. The knocked-out Santa and the dragon add to the festive nature of the display. Excuse the misty look of the photo but there was ,a little fog in the morning.

The same house had a drunk Frosty and what could only be described as a nuts snowman in a hammock between two palm trees.

I thought you might like the agave decorated.

Now into the night. Here is a simple display.

Luminara going up a driveway.

A prominent ole place with professionally installed lighting.

Multi-colored display.

Hard to see but a house with lights on the eves and Santa, a snowman, and elf by the curb.

Just a porch decorated.

Tree lights and Snoopy.

House ablaze with lights

House front decorated.

Combo trees and house.

Tress wrapped.

Eves hung with lights.

A beautiful display of trees.

I hope you enjoyed the display and wish you a very Happy Holiday Season.

    1. It is so much fun to walk and look at the lights. Of course, since we are in a Capitalistic Gentrified (Low density dwellings) neighborhood with the houses spread out we have to jump in our guzzler and drive.

  11. I especially like the decorated agave, and the house with blue lights interspered with the white. Those are traditional colors for Hanukkah, and I wondered briefly whether a Jewish family had decided to join in the fesitivities, but then I remember that there was a time in the ’60s when blue lights were all the rage in Iowa. Maybe it’s a matter of fashion — what went around is coming around. In any event, it’s very pretty. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  21. The agave made me giggle — I guess decorating during the holidays becomes more challenging when you don’t have evergreens! We tried putting out Luminara once, but that was a dismal failure. Getting them all to stay lit, in what turned out to be windy and wet weather, was more work than I want to tackle, ha!
