Views of the Neighborhood – Remembering 9-11

Usually I would have a tour here but today is one of those days that a lighthearted time just doesn’t seem appropriate. We all were stunned into disbelief twenty-one years ago. As a nation, we were horrified that anyone had the lack of humanity to destroy innocent lives in such a brutal manner.

The leaders of this attack have been eliminated and we are left with the memory of the crime. Those who lost mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters are left with the heartbreak of living a life devoid of the warmth and love that was taken away.

Let’s remember those who were lost and those left behind and pray for peace.

Thank you, kind sir. I am spending it packing boxes (Ugh) – some to donate, most to go in the basement so they can begin demolishing. Starts on Monday the 19th. How did I accumulate so much stuff?

In my opinion, we need to do it without becoming depressed or having bitterness rule our hearts. We just need to face it, straight up.

I agree and let’s hope that the cancel culture folks don’t decide that the poor terrorists who committed these crimes should have been given psychological help rather then being censored.

I remember that day well, John. It was lunchtime at my restaurant; noisy and crowded. When the news report flashed onto the television screen, the place fell silent. We were all gripped with the same sense of horror and helplessness. It felt like we were all directly involved, and in a way we were.
All the more reason to find a way to live free of diversity now.
