Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Miss Our Sister

“So Twiggy. When is Our Sister coming back?”

“It is hard to tell. She lives in Indiana.”

“It was so nice meeting her and playing. I loved her visit.”

“Yes, it is always nice when family comes over, and she is fun.”

“That’s the door she went out.”

“Yes, it is. She just left with Dad.”

“Where is she going?”

“She has a meeting in Dallas, so they are headed to the airport.”

“Airport? I don’t know what that is.”

“Well, they have these things that fly through the air, and people get on them to go to different places. They start at an airport.”

“So, back to my question. When is she coming back?”

“After Dallas, she is going home again. I don’t think she will be back for a while.”

“Well, in that case, I will sit here and wait.”

“I don’t think that is a good idea, Little one.”

“Why not?”

“Well, it takes a lot of time to be human, so it may take a while.”

“Alright then. I’ll just lay here then.”

“I think you will be more comfortable waiting somewhere else.”

“You are the smartest, Twiggy.”

“I certainly try Tempe. I certainly try.”

Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Beat the Heat (Sort of)

“Hey Tempeste. The only thing in the pool is a ladybug.”

“Where’s the water?”

“Mom said she will be right out to fill it.”

“Does she know that it is hot out here?”

“She is well aware that it is 98 degrees F (36.6C). Why do you think we have a tent and misting fan?”

“We need to get some toys for the pool.”

Well, that’s a start. What’s this on your butt?”

“I need to get more. What do you mean on my butt?”

“Oh, nothing. I think it is part of your coat.”

“You had me concerned there for a minute.”

“Sorry, I just never saw that part of you before.”

“I’m going after more toys.”

“I’m going to sit here and enjoy the misting fan.”

“Why do I have to do all the work?”

“You are the youngest. Besides, fetching toys is not work.”

“Speak for yourself, one who sits under the fan.”

“Do you think you have enough?”

“I’m not sure it matters. I’m bored with the toy fetch.”

“That doesn’t surprise me. What are you doing?”

“I thought we could play while we are waiting for Mom.”

“Ew, get that stinky thing away from me.”

“It’s not stinky. I’m the only one who has played with it.”

“I guess that’s my point. What are you doing to the pool?”

“Doing a little Fandango while we wait.”

“How do you think you can cool off in a crushed pool.”

“Mom will fix it.

Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Do The Blues Brothers

“I think we need something to do today.”

“I have an idea. Let’s do Soul Man. We love that song.

So don’t worry ’cause I’m coming.”

“I’m a soul man.”

“I’m a soul man.”

“I’m a soul man.”

“Got what I got the hard way

And I’ll make it better each and every day.”

“So honey, don’t you fret

Cause you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”

“I was brought up on a side street

I learned how to love before I could eat.”

Apologies to the Blues Brothers

Thursday – A Little Personal – Puma and Panther Showdown

” The puma wanders into the territory of the panther.”

“The panther strikes the famous poisonous black frog pose.”

“The puma is not fooled. She calls out the panther for a winner-take-all cage match.”

“The panther gets low to the road in preparation for the fatal strike.”

“The puma matches the move and keeps the panther at bay.”

“The panther slowly prepares for a counter move that will surprise the puma.”

“The puma is caught off guard by the swift maneuver of the panther. It’s too bad there is an audience to see this.”

“The panther stikes while the iron is hot and adds the famous stink-eye insult for good measure.”

“The puma can’t help but laugh at the stink-eye comment.”

“The panther keeps the puma pinned using its rear legs.”

“The puma is up and ready to rumble. Throws the your mother wears combat boots insult at the panther.”

“The panther laughs off the insult and calls the puma Porkey.”

“The puma warns the panther that body shaming is not how to survive.”

“The panther picks up the pace and asks how many Frenchies does it take to screw in a light bulb?”

“None, the puma answers. We get the uprights to do it.” Now you die.”

“The panther struggles to free herself from the jaws of the warthog.”

“The puma doubles down on the pressure and orders the panther to take back the hog insults.”

“The panther declares she would rather die than take back her comments.”

“Hey, you two. You are getting too rough.”

“The puma tells the panther that they were saved by Dad.”

“The panther looks at Dad as if to say,’ I had her. Why did you interrupt?'”

“You two need a nap.”

“The puma agrees and invites the panther for 40 winks.”

“The panther gladly accepts and reminds the puma that there will be another day.”

“The puma chuckles.”

Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Pose for Photos

“Okay, you two. I want a nice photo to put on the blog.”

“What do we do?”

“Look at Twiggy, Tempeste. I want you to stand next to her and smile.”

“What is that yellow thing in Mom’s hand?”

“No, Tempest. Go stand next to Twiggy.”

“But I want to see what it is.”

“Okay, it’s a stuffed peeper. Go to the console table and stand there.”

“This is cute. Is it new?”

“It’s not new. We have had it for a while. Twiggy, look at me.”

“What do you want me to do?”

“Go over to the console by the peeper and take Tempest with you.”

“I’m not sure she will cooperate.”

“That’s okay. I’m sure if you go there, she will follow.”

“Hey, Mom. What’s that thing over there?”

“It’s the closet door, Tempeste. Now go and join Twiggy.”

“The panther stalks the puma. Step by step.”

“Can we get you two to turn this way and face the camera?”

“I don’t know Dad. Did you see that panther stalking me?”

“Looks like this session is over.”

“But the panther is thinking of taking down the mighty puma.”

“Alright, panther. You have messed with the wrong puma.”

“Talk is big, puma ole pal. Let’s see what you got.”

“Thanks, Girls. We’ll try this another time.”

Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste at the Pool

“Hey Tempeste. Leave that hose alone, and let’s get in the pool.”

“There’s water dripping out of here.”

“Not as much as in this pool.”

“It’s so hard to leave a dripping hose.”

“Okay, now that you are in, move over and let me in, too.”

“Let me get this ball first.”

“You can’t pick that one up. Your mouth isn’t big enough.”

“I’m beginning to see what you mean.”

“I wish I had a treat for every bit of advice I’ve offered.”

“It’s all appreciated too.”

“Why don’t you try this smaller ball?”

“Cause the big one looks like more fun.”

“I’ll give you that. It does look more fun.”

“Are you ever getting in?”

“A  girl has to get used to the water. That takes time.”

“What am I, chopped liver?”

Thursday – A Little Personal – Niece Kizzy, Twiggy, and Tempeste

“I think we better get going Tempeste.”

“Why. What’s up?”

“Niece Kizzy is coming to visit. She’ll be here any minute.”

“That’s terrific. She’s always a lot of fun, unlike some I could mention.”

“I do my best to keep you entertained.”

“Oh, I know I was just pulling your four legs.”

“I think I heard something around back. You stay here in case she comes in the front.”

“Not a fan of waiting by myself.”

“Just sit there. You’ll be fine.”

“I don’t like sitting doing nothing. I think I’ll go see what I can find.”

“How did you find Kizzy? Hi Kizzy.”

“I took matters into my own hands, and here she was.”

“Hi, Twiggy. I wonder if you can help me.”

“Sure Kizzy. What do you need?”

“For one, I outweigh this little bat one hundredfold, and she insists on a walk.”

“Well, if that’s all, why not take a walk?”

“There is something undignified about a warrior like me being led by a whelp like her.”

“Hey, who are you calling a whelp?”

“Well, Kizzy, I have learned if you humor her, things go better.”

“Okay, Twiggy. If you say so. Let’s get on with it, Tempeste.”

Watch the video and see Tempeste take Kizzy for a walk.

Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste with Toys

“Hey, Twiggy. What you got there?”

“It’s a butterfly.”

“I’ve got this special Martian.”

“What makes it special?”

“He flies. See.”

Uh-huh. I can see that.”

“Of course, he sometimes gets lost.”

“Look behind you.”

“Oh my gosh. There he is.”

“Amazing.”

“Oh no, you don’t, Mr. Martain. No more flying today.”

“Good to keep those kids reined in.”

“What’s reined in mean?”

“Under control.”

“I have him under control for sure.”

“It does look that way.”

“You want to play with him?”

“No, I’m still working on this butterfly.”

“Okay, then. I’ll take him for a walk.”

“Don’t get lost.”

Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Playing

“Do you have to stand over me like that?”

“You taught me that this is the winner’s stance.”

“Well yeah, I did. I may have made a mistake.”

“I don’t think so. This seems like a great move.”

“I think I’ve lost the feeling in my hindquarters.”

“That’s silly. You look fine to me.”

“Are you a doctor?”

“Of course not. I’m just saying everything looks like it’s supposed to look.”

“Well I feel numb.”

“Can you wiggle your toes?”

“Yes.”

“Then you are good to go another round.”

“Isn’t the referee supposed to count to three or something?”

“Are you saying I won?”

“As much as I hate to admit it. Yes, you won.”

“Look at you. The teacher has taught the student well.”

Wait a minute. What are you doing?”

“Nap time, right?”

“See that huge bed to the right. That’s yours.”

“Not as cozy. Come on, just for a little while.”

“Ten minutes tops.”

“I’ll take it.”
