It’s a “good time” to celebrate the start of 2023 with Parks & Recreation! As you walk the lower level of Lakeway City Park, you will find 26 clocks along the trail. Each clock has a letter and number that corresponds to the hidden answer key. Solve the secret message and win a prize!

Well, here we are on the last Sunday before Christmas. This means we need to tour the neighborhood to view the holiday decorations. The Producer and I previewed the decorations and selected the final choices. There were nine categories of the display. The tenth is one for you to describe and is at the end of the post. We are doing some hot chocolate on the bus because, believe it or not, it is cold outside. We found some suggested combos for the chocolate, so all the makings are available for you to make your own. Very seldom do we get colors of fall here in this part of Texas. Given the drought situation, we did not expect much. Then suddenly, we got a little rain, and the trees said in unison, “Let’s go for it.” So today, we are going to see what they look like. We are being catered by Olamaie of Austin. Today we are going to attend the Safety Day exhibitions in Lakeway. This annual affair brings together Police, Fire, and Rescue teams from Travis county. The idea is to bring awareness to the community of the services available and educate safety practices. We are catered by Jew Boy Burgers in Austin. Our entertainment is Johnny Cash.

Today we will take a trip to Lakeway Park to check out the String-A-Palooza. This is an event put on by school districts in and around Lakeway. Middle and grade school students all converge for a day of playing string instruments in and having fun.
