Friday has finally arrived. If you are like me it is a welcome sight for sore everything. Even though I don’t have a traditional workweek, I still like to kick back and celebrate its close. In fact, someone asked me my idea of a good Friday. I said, “A good Friday is where I write my ass off, reward myself with a Margarita and then try to explain to my wife what I had done all day.” I wrote a little Haiku to honor that Margarita and the Friday celebration. Celebrate one for Friday. . .
Two; hurts tomorrow.
I agree, even though I am retired, Friday is still special and I celebrate it…TGIF still rings true!

Lack the equipment to make them. Tried one of those canned margaritas (I think Budweiser) and regretted the decision. Got a case of Red’s strawberry ale though.

Good advice, John. A well-earned libation on a Friday afternoon is the reward owing to all who work hard during the week. Whereas Margarita Mondays are a sure recipe for week-long drunkenness. Cheers!

I used to do Tanqueray on the rocks but since moving to Texas the weather is more conducive to the local cactus squeezens. Still love gin though.

Love this. The first time I heard the song I was driving between a couple of cities up North. I laughed at the tattoo part. (not really understanding the siren call of the cactus juice). After moving to Texas I used this song as a warning of the possibilities of going too far. Thanks for the reminder.

I’ll take a margarita any day of the week. Well, preference for the dirty gin martinis (which I’ve learned I do prefer “dry” whatever that means), but a margarita will do nicely. Hope you enjoyed yours 😉
