Here is my interpretation on “back”

“You back?”

“No, I’m a figment of your imagination. Of course, I’m back. I’m standing right here.”

“Aw get off my back. That was just a manner of greeting. You are pretty snarky today.”

“You take that back. I feel great today.”

“Okay so when did you get back?”

“Yesterday. Let me give you some background on the trip.”

“Sure. Did you get any backlash from the family for spending all that money?”

“Back when I first thought of the trip I did. They were okay after a while.”

“So go ahead with the back story.”

“Well, when I decided to go I had to raise some money so I started playing backgammon.”

“I didn’t realize you could back a trip with gambling.”

“I don’t gamble. With me, it is a sure thing. You could back me on any bet.”

“What if you lose? What kind backup do you have?”

“If I lose I just play until I win back the losses.”

“So you won the money back?”

“Yup and I went on a nice trip and am back.”

“And no parent backwash?”

“Back when I was a kid I had backwash, but as an adult I’m fully backed up.”

“I envy you. I’m still working on my baccalaureate and have to give back all the time. Good luck to you.”

“Back attcha.”
