“So what’s your excuse?”
“Excuse me?”
“Your excuse. You’re late.”
“Late? How can that be?”
“You were planned for arrival two days ago?”
“I don’t need an excuse. I had no idea about your agenda.”
“So you think you can excuse your behavior simply because you were ignorant as to the details?”
“Yeah, I guess you have my excuse.”
“Ignorance is no excuse.”
“So where is this place anyway?”
“Oh. Come on now you are using confusion as an excuse.”
“I am confused. No excuse intended. I just don’t know where I am.”
“Ever hear of heaven?”
“You’re kidding right?”
“About heaven?”
“Yes about heaven.”
“Yeah, I guess I am. This is the other place.”

If I have to go there, I’d rather be late.

Oooo. Good one! I’d love to read what happens next. The excuse theme could go on and on.

Yes, it could. Think explaining away the sins of the world with an excuse like ‘humans will be human.”
