Sunday – Fifty-Two Views of the Gulf

2015-08-22 08.30.10

Today’s view shows the fact that weekends are beginning to wind down. All the schools in Texas will be in session starting Monday so not too many families will be able to get away from school activities to go to the beach. As you can see the winds are relatively calm and the seas as well. You can see the yellow flowers to the left and a few on the right. The morning glories have all but disappeared.

Last week’s photo.

That mean quiet will return to the area? Have another week and a half before school starts here.

The quiet has already begun. This is the last of the weekends. Of course, Labor Day will cause another ruckus.

It is late this year. (or so it seems)

All I know is that the local school schedule is wonky. He starts before Labor Day, but then gets that day off. There’s the usual slew of High Holy Days, so it might be a while before he gets a full week of school. Means a while before I get a full week of writing too. 🙂

This looks like such a lovely spot. I imagine having a long walk, listening to the waves.

We do just that each morning before the day gets away. Thank you for the visit.

Once the people leave it is a smell absent charcoal lighter, gas fumes, and smoking campfires.

Yeah. Generator and everything for a $12 a year permit from the city.

Now *that’s* my idea of how it should look. It seems so peaceful that I can hear the sound of the waves touching the beach. I’m sure you’re relieved to have less activity out there. Mega hugs!

Rest up, John, for Labor Day will be here before you know it — and I expect your beach activity will pick up immensely then, for one last summer gasp, you know!

I know. My wife and i decided to leave the house to the kids and go to Austin for peace and quiet.

Austin? For peach and quiet? Gee, I dunno, but I thought Austin was for hipsters 😉

And of course, I meant “peace,” not “peach.” Gee, you’d think my fingers could type right by now!

I originally typed peach myself so I know how it is. 🙂
