Wednesday Story Day again and last week we had a revolution that Lucas says he killed his sister. He admitted this to his lawyer, and some of you wondered if he Lucas was confused and though the lawyer a priest. It seems the lawyer is committed to client privilege where the priest might be tempted to obey secular law. So let’s go back and see the reaction of the lawyer.
“Whoa, Lucas. Don’t say any more. Let me ask you a couple of questions.”
“Yeah, okay. You are going to keep my confidence right?”
“Yes, there is no issue there. I just need to get some facts before I advise you on what we are going to do. So let’s start at the beginning. What caused you to hit your sister?”
“She was all coked up and came at me with a knife.”
“A knife? Why was she coming at you with a knife?”
“She was very upset. She came into my house and was yelling something about me killing our parents.”
“Go slower Lucas. Your parents are dead?”
“Yeah, some low life came into our house and killed them. That’s when my sister showed up and was banging on my door.”
“You let her in?”
“She’s my sister uh she was my sister. Of course, I would let her in.”
“Then what happened.”
“As I said, she came at me with a knife and that’s when I hit her.”
“Before she came at you did she say anything?”
“Mmm yes, she asked me if I knew anyone who would kill our parents?”
“What did you say?”
“I told her the only people who I knew who would kill our parents were the scumbag drug dealer friends she hung around with.”
“Then she came at you?”
“No. She looked at me like maybe I was right.”
“What caused her to come at you?”
“I asked her how much money she thought she was going to get from the will?”
“That did it?”
“What did it is when I told her our parents were fed up with her and she was not sharing in the proceeds of the will. I told her the only way she would get anything is if I were dead.”
“So she came at you with the knife?”
“I might have said something else, but yes that was when she came at me.”
“What else?”
“I called her a loser.”
“I see.”
I’m beginning to think either Lucas is very smart or very dumb. I suppose he could be a combination of both. The meme at the top is really cute. The minions are always both cute and funny. 😀 — Suzanne

Ahh, a dysfunctional family and a sister with scumbag drug dealing friends! Now I’m wondering if Lucas might be innocent. I think the story has grabbed me. 🙂 Great job, John. Have a wonderful day.

Ah! Sibling rivalry. That, combined with the very special kind of greed that often follows the passing of a parent, explains a great deal.
Mind you, Lucas could be a practising BS artist.

As we march to the end of this saga we have to keep our eyes open for the slightest clue.

Where there’s a will… I don’t know. I actually want to believe Lucas, but he just seems like he has two or three more cards up his sleeve. I hope this lawyer knows what he’s doing. The really sad part about all the what-if’n I’m going through is that you planned it this way, John 🙂
Great job!

Kind of surprised the Sheriff never dug up anything on the sister. Rather suspicious there.

Ah, the revelations come thick and fast John but what can we give credence to. Personally I’m tempted to give him the benefit of the doubt but it’s interesting his sister’s body wasn’t found that I remember? I’ll call him innocent of murder and he fought in self defence but I’ve been fooled before and knowing you, the surprises won’t be over yet.

Talk about skeletons in the closet!
Apparently, the loser comment sent her over the edge.
Great place to end another week of drama, John.

Well thank goodness Lucas didn’t tell his sister “Your butt looks fat in those jeans,” he would have had more than a knife coming at him then. 😉
John, this is pos-i-lutely fabulous! Have a wonderful Wednesday.

This may be very hard to prove. You know He said. She said…except she’s dead! Where do we go from here? Hum… Now I have to wait a whole week to find out! Grrr!
You know I could be one of those people that read the last chapter first to find the end then start at the beginning.
Okay I’m not, but there are times when I am sorely…I mean SORELY tempted to do it! Um hum…now would be one. 🙂
Baby Girl is one of the those people. For the record it boggles my mind and drives me crazy that she does this!

Ha ha ha. Half the fun is taking the trip. The long and winding road will lead to a conclusion tag know will definitely spoil the journey. Hang in there more twists on the way. Thanks, Deborah.

Seems to me that Lucas never heard the saying, Loose lips sink ships. This boy certainly has a troubled past … and his future isn’t looking so hot either!
