Views of the Neighborhood – Twiggy Speaks

“Hi everyone. My name’s Twiggy. I just am taking a short break from playing in the dirt. Lucy kind of forced me to come out here and let you know that Dad will not be posting a Views of the Neighborhood. See he has this walker thingy and no approval from the doctor to be out snapping photos. So the Producer suggests he wait until he gets the authorization. What Lucy? Oh Yeah. He’s fine and healing nicely. So Hopefully next week there will be a Views and if not maybe the next time. If not— Okay Lucy wants me to say have a good week. Goodby.”

    1. The PT tech just installed tennis balls on the back legs so Twiggy chases them when I’m in motion. Pretty funny. Thanks, Jennie.

  10. Why am I suddenly remembering being five years old and having my mother say, “Come out here and say hello to my friend”? Twiggy did much better than I did. With a little age and experience, she’s going to make a great PR agent. Here’s a good song for walker-walking — you’re doing fine!

But she’s ok, eating & walking as usual.

  12. Hi Twiggy,
Thanks for keeping us up to date, and tell your Dad speedy recovery, but also to be careful.
    Best,
    Pit
P.S.: Mary and I had a nice few days in Port A and got our own “views of the neighbourhood”. We were saddened to see how much down there is still in (serious) disrepair and how much has totally been razed, 😦

    1. Thank you, Mr. Pit. He is under our paws. Here is dad. Hi Pit. I don’t think folks realize that about 40% of the structures in town are gone. The spirit is high though. The weekend marked the one year anniversary and there were special events everywhere. I wish I could have been able to get around to photograph them.

      1. Hi John,
we did see the recovery efforts, and we were happy about them and the unbroken spirit they show.
Btw, we were quite surprised how much new building has been going on since were were there the last time – two years ago.
        Best,
        Pit

  24. John, I expect Molly has her hands full getting you to follow doctor’s orders. Good thing she has the girls to help keep you in line. Although I think Twiggy might not be any help with that. She looks ready to try and lead you a merry chase, walker-thingy or no. 😀
Keep getting better. Hugs on the wing.

  25. John,

You know I love you, and your Sunday Views are a weekly treat and all. But umm, handing the wheel to Twiggy? You umm . . do remember what happened to Wally Pipp when his skipper informed him that a kid named Lou Gehrig was gonna give him the day off, don’t you?

    🙂

All kidding aside, Twiggy was a wonderful stand in.

Keep on healing, and listening to the boss’s orders. Both of ’em.
