Port Aransas Music Fest was held this weekend. Since most of the performances were after my bedtime, I thought you would enjoy meeting the artists virtually and seeing the places where the artists performed. Well, that’s the hope anyway.

On, my, that’s a lot of artists. Was/is a weekend-long festival? I’m like you. So many festivities don’t get started until I’m ready for bed 😉 I think back to my teenage years and how the bands my friends and I would go to listen and dance to didn’t even start playing until 10 pm. Lol. Those days are long gone for me.

I laughed when I saw Michael Milligan and Texiana Bluez are playing the Driskill Hotel next weekend — both ends of the venue spectrum, for sure. I wish they’d come to Houston sometime; they’re one of my favorites. They’ll be back at Giggity’s October 27 — might be a good time for a roadie.

Good morning, John,
It looks like I really need to bring my bicycle again the next time in Port A. and ride around. I don’t recall having seen any of these places so far. I really need to explore Port A. more.
Have a wonderful day,
Pit

These are all bars so I’m not surprised you haven’t seen them.

Worked for me! Quite a large lineup. It would have been past my bedtime too and it looked great in the sunshine!

Hi John, thanks for this fun walk around the neighborhood. It had to have been a terrific music fest. I love the names — artists and venues. “Splendiferous” is my favorite name, and “Giggity’s” is a close second. Cinnamon Shores is right up there too. Such fun. Hugs on the wing.

John, I can’t fault you for hitting the sack before the festivities started — I’d have probably done the same thing! Sounds like an interesting line-up of talent though (and I like seeing how Port A is coming back from the hurricane!!)

Enjoyed this! I chuckled at your bedtime comment. My “kids” are impressed if they ever find out I’m up past 9:00. LOL.

I’m still catching up after a busy weekend John, I’m afraid I missed the music. I kinda wish I could have dropped in to hear ” Tumble Dry Low” I think it’s a clever name. Maybe they know where the socks went.

John,
Love the happening vibe and the array of artists that paint your town! And of course I was attracted to Shorty’s most of all, because it looks ‘divey’ and I loves me a good dive bar with live music very much.
Love your virtual tour! 🙂

Looks like there were some great venues, and bands/acts in town. Did you hear or feel the music from your place?

No, we couldn’t hear it from where we are. Town is about three miles North. Thanks Deborah.
