“Don’t bogart that joint, my friend. Pass it over to me.”
“Okay, what’s going on now.”
“I remember that song from the movie Easy Rider.”
“I’m surprised you can remember the movie let alone the song.”
“Roll another one. Just like the other one.”
“I get it you remember the song.”
“Yeah, and I loved that movie.”
“Why so?”
“Jack Nicholson had the best role.”
“What made it so good for you.”
“He was such a character. A drunk lawyer. Made me laugh.”
“You have a motorcycle?”
“No. Never did. I borrowed a friend’s once.”
“I think there is a story here.”
“Yeah. I did a neat roll in time to miss a truck that slammed on his brakes.”
“Lucky you weren’t killed.”
“Made me think twice about buying one for myself.”
“Sounds like you bought one for someone else.”
“Yeah, My friend. I totaled his.”
“Ouch.”
“Wanna see my roll scars?”
“No that is a voyeur role I want to avoid.”

Thank you, Dan. Back in the day a young lady asked if I wanted to see her appendix scar. “I sure do,” was my reply. I can report it was beautiful. 😀

These old guys roll past all the time…….on motorized tricycles. When you have to ride a trike, it ain’t easy rider anymore.

A group of friends have Harleys and go on extended trips. They suggested a trike for me. I politely declined and then took my bourbon to the porch.

Great job with the prompts, John. I haven’t thought about Easy Rider for a while. Peter Fonda’s role captured my young heart at the time. I think I need to watch this gem again. 🙂

Bogart is one of my all time favorite words, and that movie . . I wanted to go out and buy a motorcycle immediately! But I realized that my Schwinn still had plenty of rev left in its spokes . . and I still had many years to go before I was old enough to drive!

Thank you, Marc. I love Bogart myself and played him in a production of “Play it Again Sam.” Still do a passable impression. :-D. I used the word when trying to describe strong action needed. “Let’s bogart into that place and kick some ass.”
