Wednesday Story Day – AKA Hump Day – Bailey is at Peace

I normally have a story today, but with deep sadness I want you to know that Bailey has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. On Sunday it was clear she was starting to experience difficulty. The time came to seek help in ending her journey here and let her begin a new chapter over the Rainbow bridge.

I have posted a few photos that have been seen on the A Little Personal feature.

We will miss her.

Thank you for all the support and helpful words during this time of challenge for our family.

Bailey

“Why, yes Pops. I am beautiful.”

“Hey, you guys. What are you doing?”

Bailey

“Summer and a back roll. Nothing finer.”

Bailey

“Do I really need to play with that Little Potato?”

“This is living.”

“I’m telling you little one, this water will be deep, so be careful.”

Bailey

“I think you are in my spot.”

Bailey and Twiggy

“Pops. What the heck have you and mom done?”

“Hey, kids. It’s the UPS truck heading our way”

Bailey

“I bet it would be helpful to have thumbs.”

“Man I hate it when they back up.”

“My kingdom and an interloper.”

So long, for now, Bailey girl. We’ll meet again.

  1. Oh bum, John. So many glorious memories though, so much fur in the corners of the den. We will all miss the pics and will think about Bailey when I’m out with Mylo today. Take care.

  4. John I am so terribly sorry. She was a beacon of light who is now dimmed but will never be lost. I am crying for what I have lost. I loved to see her smiling face. She will never be forgotten.

  6. Oh, gosh, dear John! Right in Christmas. She should have been the blessed Soul. Accepy my deepest condolences, dear friend. It is always tough when our pets leave us…however they return back to the better world. So, no matter our grief, we must be happy that their terrestial path is over and a new celestial begins!

  8. This is sad news, John. But you gave Bailey an ideal life, and I’m sure the love was deep in both directions. You’ll be hugging the other kids extra hard for a while …

Best wishes to you and yours.

    1. I know what you mean, Teri. That is why I had to do a retrospective. A number of readers had an emotional tie to her. We all needed closure. It is a sad thing that our pets have a life span much shorter than ours. What isn’t sad is the wonderful memories they leave with us. Thank you.
