“Why is Mom and Dad’s bed all torn apart, Lucy?”
“I’m not sure Little one. Let me call Mom.”
“Hey, Mom. What is going on here?”
“See the rug, Lucy. We are getting our bed today, and it will go with it.”
“By go, do you mean it’s leaving?”
“Ha, haha. No, I meant it is coordinated in color.”
“Coordinated in color. I wonder what that means? I think I’ll sit this one out.”
“Wow. Close your eyes for a minute and look what happens. Hey, Twiggy.”
“I hear you, Lucy. What do you want?”
“Come into the bedroom.”
“Amazing, Mom. Is this what you mean by coordinated?”
“Yes, sweetheart, it is.”
“Uh, Mom.”
“Yes, Lucy.”
“That bed looks pretty high. I’m not sure I can make it up there.”
“Don’t you worry. A foot bench is coming along with some other things for in here. You’ll be fine.”
“What about me, Mom?”
“Well, Little Potato. You’ll need to be lifted like always.”
“Great Mom. Lucy, come here quick. Look in the back. There is a fence there.”
“All those guys you have been giving a piece of your mind have been working for the last two days. Looks like another day or two, and we’ll have a secure yard.”
“Play tag with me?”
“No one will be able to stop me.”
One step at a time a house becomes a home, and yours is being transformed before our eyes. Thank you for this glimpse of your beautiful home – and yard. Have you made contact with House Beautiful yet? Your home would be perfect for its pages. 🙂

So appreciate your journey, John, as we are walking a parallel path. And you can bet the first thing our crew did when our new bed was in was to make sure they could get up and in without issue. Dogs are the best… and your place looks beautiful!

Change may be happening too fast for the dynamic duo. Then again, the change will stop soon. Cheers to Mrs. Howell for the creative eye!

I love watching the progress as y’all make this place HOME! Lucy and Twiggy seem to be learning a lot about how that’s done. Congrats on finally getting a bed to sleep in — and what a lovely, coordinated spot to do so! Almost looks too pretty to be functional (but I know that’s not true!)

Thank you, Debbie. Functional? Yes with everyone needing to be there the bedding is made up of material that can support multiple washings. 😁

Changes are tough on puppies but these are all good. The bed looks amazing! Mrs. H certainly knows how to decorate the house.

Thank you, Darene. She cetainly does. She finds it fun to work on her own house rather than others and that is a good thing

It’s taking shape, nicely, John. The Producer has good taste. The girls will be romping around pretty soon. I suggest you kick back with a glass of John Howell’s Bourbon when that happens.

I think I will have to. The girls were given free reign last night and were in heaven in the yard. Now for landscaping and all will be perfect.

I like the coordination! And Lucy and Twiggy go with the colors too. They look right at home on that rug by the bed. Looking good, John.

You should see them on the bed. I would hate to see what would happen if they were black and white. Might have to change the decor 😄

It is definitely very colour coordinated, John. My bedroom would drive you made with its plethora of un-coordinated colours and furniture.

“Like being way out in the country, only not” — that sounds like perfection to me. I do like the colors of your new place, and the simplicity. I could stand a little more simplicity around here — I think it’s time to do some more decluttering!

The room is coming together very nicely, John. The floors, rug, and bed are lovely. Who’s the interior designer?
It must be such a relief to have that fence up. Lucy and “Little Potato” are going to have lots of fun in that yard.
Have a great rest of the day! ❤ xo

Everyone seems to be taking all the changes in stride, John. It’s really coming together!
Crystal has yet to use her “window chair” to get to the bedroom window. At least it’s there & I can check that off my list. I can also drag the chair to the living room if I need an extra seat in there — it matches both rooms.
Hugs.
