Lucy and Twiggy are blissfully unaware that a danger worse than thunder is about to invade their space.
Lucy dreaming of the big hunt.
Twiggy dreaming of the dinner dish.
“Hey Tiggy get up. I heard the beating of an engine far off.”
“I hear it, Lucy. Do you think it’s headed this way?”
“Headed this way? It’s already here. A dually and two mens.”
“OMG, what do they want?”
“I know it’s not the wrong address for sure.”
“Lucy. What are you doing?”
“Best time to nap is during an assault.”
“Do Mom and Dad know about this?”
“Yes, we do. Little One. It’s the new backyard being put in place. Want to see what they are doing?”
“Oh, yes, please.”
“Means leashes to stay out of the way.”
“Holy cow, Twiggy. Look. Everything’s torn up?”
“Do you think it will be put back?”
“Let’s hope so.”
“It will ladies. You have my word.”
I’m wondering what these two little ladies are going to do once all of your upgrades are completed…great photo, John!

I think they will run and ruckus, leash-free. Doesn’t sound too bad, does it?

At first, I thought it was going to be a lawn crew with those evil gas-powered blowers, but then I remembered you don’t have any lawn, yet. It looks like that’s about to change. Good of you to allow the girls to go have a sniff!

They wouldn’t leave me alone. The crew took a lunch break which allowed me to take them out. Thanks, Linda.

Twiggy seems more deliberative when it comes to possible intruders, but then again, maybe she’s taking her cue from Lucy’s impromptu nap. Which really isn’t the worst idea since, yanno, you should be conserving energy in the event of an actual emergency. Smart.
