Another Friday and another weekend eve.
I don’t have a lot to report this week but was pleased to receive back three beta reader comments. These guys were way ahead of the due date, and I’m grateful for their attention to the book. I am looking forward to the others.
I am working on the marketing plan during this period. I think it will include a tour but more on that later.
We got a little rain this week. Not enough, but every little bit helps. We started the week with cold temperatures and have had record-breaking highs in the last few days. It is supposed to get cold again today. (Okay for you Northerners, cold to us is in the 50s)
Today’s JohnKu talks about the weather. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

It’s something we have,
When it is perfectly clear. . .
Talk subjects are nill.
You can take our rain and snow for a bit. Maybe some of this howling wind?

Can do without the wind but would welcome the rain. Have a good weekend, Charles.

We’re supposed to have snow this weekend – we’ve had wild fluctuations in temperature but this morning it’s bitter cold – have a nice weekend!

I’m still looking for more cool weather. The 70’s we’ve been having feels like spring, but I’d sure like to feel more of a winter. After 50 years of 90-95* summers that last 6 months or more – I want Winter!!

I should reflect on the 60 days of over 100 degreeslast summer and shut my trap. Thanks for the reality check, GP. 😁

Now I’m used to this climate, John, a temperature in the 50s seems cold also. It could be because we have no heat source inside. I make do with warm sweaters, a small floor heater near my desk, and a warm quilt at night. Have a great weekend. 🙂 — Suzanne

Weird weather here – 70s two days ago, 40s today, rain and 60s over the weekend, low 30s Monday. Happy Friday, John!

Tough to know what to wear too. Thanks, Teri.

I’m glad you’ve gotten some quick response to the new book — that has to be pleasing. I’m glad you’ve had some rain, too. A friend in Kerrville had only .04″ in January, but has received nearly three inches over three days. We both had the same thought: it may help save the wildflower crop!

We were well ahead on rain last year and the wildflowers were outrageous. Hopefuly there will be some more.

We managed a few warm days early in the week, but 26 right now, with snow, sleet and ice expected tomorrow. Needless to say I would love to have your “low” temperatures, John!
Happy FriYay 🙂

Weather is like the lead off hitter for topics of conversation. You’re right! When it’s clear, you’re forced to begin with your cleanup hitter.

That quick response is golden. I knew I couldn’t manage that this time, and that’s why I asked for the backup position.

I was happy to have you in back -up. The response was such that I had enough. Thanks, again.

Send those 50 degrees our way. Children can’t play outside when temps are in the teens. Multiple days of being indoors is so much fun – said no one ever.

It is coming down very slowly. Sun for the weekend then rain on Monday.

That’s so true! We had some pretty heavy wind followed by a really good snow storm on Thursday. Yesterday, the temperatures returned to normal and the next storm isn’t due until Tuesday. So we’re in the 40’s they til then. I’m getting used to the high 30’s and 40’s. I was out in it all day yesterday without a coat… I had layers on mind you, but not my coat! It’s looking like I’m going to survive my first winter where it snows. 😀

Luckily for us Northerners, the weather is constantly changing, so we always have something to talk about, including comparing current weather with past weather.

Eh, we’re “looking forward” to winter temps (lows in the 20s/30s) at the beginning of the week. It’s January, I should be happy to get cold weather, but it’s the roller-coaster temps that bother me. I hate seeing trees and plants start to bloom only to be crushed by freezing temps. I hope you get some good feedback from your beta readers! Happy rest of your weekend, John!
