Welcome by John W. Howell © 2020
“Ahhhhhchoooo.”
” Gesundheit.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
“I think I’m allergic.”
“To what?”
“Not sure.”
“I see you are not stressed over the Saturday prompt.”
“No, in fact, I welcome the challenge.”
“What is is this week?”
“Welcome.”
“Pretty formal. I’ve lived here for years.”
“No, it’s ‘welcome.”‘
“What’s welcome. We get something new?”
“Quit being a poor imitation of Bud Abbott. The word is welcome.”
“You talking about the good word?”
“OMG, are you serious? The prompt is ‘welcome”‘
“Of course, it is. You throw down the welcome mat every Saturday. We can hardly do anything until you have completed your prompt.”
“Okay, I give up. You recording this or what?”
“What.’ I’m not recording anything so it must be ‘what.”‘
“What must be ‘what?”‘
“You asked, I answered. I wish I knew. Since I’m not recording, I must be doing ‘what.”‘
“How do we get off this loop?”
“Let’s have lunch. Maybe it will help.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. Oh, wait. The prompt is ‘welcome.’ Right?”
“Right.”
“Darn, I thought I had it with ‘welcome.’ ‘Right’ is pretty good too.”
“Private memo to myself. Just shoot me.”
LOL! This was great, John! I’m sensing a little bit of cabin fever in the tone. 🙂 Happy Saturday! ❤

Happy Saturday to you, Jill *sung to the tune of Blackbird by Sarah McLachlan. No cabin fever here. Maybe in the character world. 😁

Thank you, John! Thanks for helping to keep the mood light in the face of a daily dose of scary news.
I hope you’re all well and that you remain so. Hang in there, take care, and as Linda says, have fun.

Who is welcome on First ? What is welcome on Second. I am going to welcome the beer vendor…
And sit by myself in the middle of the bleachers. And welcome this quenched thirst.

You are certainly welcome to do that. I will airdrop you some peanuts. (unless you are allergic that is)

Too funny, John. I’ve learned that a meal solves most problems for guys. It brightens their day, like only a chocolate bar can do for me. 😀

And when a meal can’t be provided just pop an onion into the oven. It will seem like a meal is coming.

Bahahaha!
Just goes to show, not everyone’s thoughts should be welcomed when it comes to prompts.

“Just shoot me” was really funny. You definitely had a good Abbott and Costello dialogue going here. 🙂
