Since spring is officially here The Producer and I decided to go out yesterday to see if the wildflowers have begun to bloom. We were pleased to be able to find that they were doing their best to bring a smile. I hope you enjoy the walk.
On our way to the Greenbelt, we passed a beautiful hillside of Bluebonnets.
Then a bright red display of Poppies.
Next to the greenbelt trail, more Bluebonnets.

What a lovely perambulation, John! Have always enjoyed the Texas wildflowers, though the pollen is killer. Glad that you and the producer were able to step out for a bit of fresh air and sunshine. Stay safe!

Thank you, Lori. Yes the oak pollen makes everything look like it has been seasoned with curry powder. Our walk was mostly in the cedars whch are finished trying to duplicate themselves for the year. 😁

My brother is terribly allergic to the oak and cedar pollen. He said it’s been particularly bad this year.

That was a lovely walk! I loved the lily’s at the pond with the reflections and your stone “thinking” bench. I can see why it’s a favorite spot of yours.
The Bluebonnets look like what we call Miniature Lupine to me so I looked up your Texas Bluebonnet and find they are a Lupine native to TX. Lupinus texensis aka The Bluebonnet and your state flower! Huh, you learn something new every day! You know, I still haven’t memorized the state flower of NV my new home state! I’ve got lots and lots of learning yet to do. 💙😀
