We had a temperature break here in Texas so Twiggy and Lucy took advantage of it.
“Hey, Lucy, check out the temperature.
“I can’t see the thermometer from here.”
Pretty funny. We don’t have a thermometer. The air feels cool.”
“Yeah, the low 90s is like an arctic blast. Why are you running?”
“The puma has decided to take a run at the big slow water buffalo.”
“Yeah, well, this buffalo has a few surprises for the dull-witted puma and outflanks it.”
“You can run, but you can’t hide.”
“The buffalo looks back and plans the next move.”
“The buffalo comes up short and faces the puma.”
“The puma gets ready to pounce.”
“The buffalo makes a preemptive strike.
“Which the puma ducks.”
The puma goes on the offensive and is ready to take the buffalo down.”
“But, the wiley buffalo has a few more tricks.”
“The puma has the buffalo cornered. Time to finish the fight.”
“Yeah, bring it on, puma. You’ll find out how much a hoof can hurt.”
“Where you going, Lucy? We didn’t finish the battle.”
“I’ll let you win this one, Potato. I need a drink.”
Arctict blast! Tee he hee. We’re in the 50s over here, and I had my hot water bottle last night, lols. Glad the girls are enjoying the temperature break. Thanks for the Thursday smiles, John 🙂

Great pictures, John. How I wish my two would play like that. Eos keeps trying to play with Trevor, but the old curmudgeon just snarls at her.

These two can do this for hours with the proper breaks (Lucy does get tired. She is 12 year old) Trevor wants his life on his terms.

We’re just about to pick Trevor up from the vet – poor boy, at 14, has just had 8 teeth removed (and, apparently, he’s barking the place down).

Hahaha. Lucy had the same deal last year. Comes withage. Good for him in letting them know who’s boss. 😂

Gave the girls a chance to “work out”!

You’d make a great sports announcer, John. Your grass is gorgeous! It’s so green. We’re having high heat and humidity, too. Hoping for a little break over the weekend. Great action shots!

Thank you, Jill. The grass is coming along. We got a special sod that is supposed to handle the Texas heat. So far so good. Hope you get. a cool down soon. 🤗

Hope the temperature stays there. Hate it when it’s too hot. Nice to see the pups get some outdoor play time.

I’m so ready for a little coolth. Less humidity would be all right, too. Heat indices down here at the coast have been averaging around 105 or so, and the past few days have been even higher. Enough, already! I want to be as able to run around outdoors as this pair!

I hear you, Linda. This has been miserable. So what’s new in 2020? 😁

I love seeing the girls in action. I’m glad you dropped out of triple-digit temps. Hard to think of low 90s as being a break, but I get it. Tell the girls to save some celebration for Friday.

haha, I understand the Arctic blast. Whenever the weatherman claims we’re going down a degree or two, I yell, Whoa, a cold front’s moving in!!
How does Twiggy feel about Lucy throwing the fight?

Twiggy is okay with winning however she can do it. The thing is Lucy is a benevolent giant and usually throws the fight anyway. Thanks, GP. I hear you on the cold front. I usually say,”Get out the muckalucks.”

They seem so happy in their yard. Mine have missed the yard for much of the summer, but in the last few weeks they’ve spent a lot of time outside.

A fence makes a big difference also a little cooler helps. They do love their yard.

I saw where you’d gotten a brief respite — woo hoo! It’s been pretty miserable here, too — not so much from heat as from humidity. And the crops only add to that. We woke up to a dense fog this morning and are hoping for a cold front later in the week. I can see how happy the girls are with this weather change, even if it’s only a short one!

Hopefully we’ll get 90s for the rest of the summer. Those 100s are killers. Thanks, Debbie.

Here, it didn’t feel much better yesterday. Today, though, it really is a tad cooler. Yesterday we only got a few drops here in the morning, but we had to “flee” from Guadalupe River State Park in the early afternoon because of a dwonpour.

There’s nothing like cooler weather to give someone a spring in their step. When it stops raining here the temperature starts to rise. That where we are now. October is usually a warm month. It’s like an Indian Summer in the U.S. Good pictures, John. 🙂 — Suzanne

The girls are so cute, John, and our temps are up again. We’re in the middle of another intense heat wave and I’m melting as I type. That’s why I’m late in reading. I tend to shut down when the house is about 90 inside, not arctic at all, but wish is was! 🙂
