“So, Lucy. You guys going out today?”
“First, let’s check that watch of yours, Boss.”
“Says here the temperature is 38 degrees. High today of 59.”
“Are you kidding me?”
“You know, I think I’m going to take a rain check on the outside.”
“Oh, come on. It’s refreshing.”
“Hey, Lucy. Don’t let him talk you into anything. Who left this Yak stick here?”
“How about you, Twiggy. Going outside?”
“Gee, dad. Take a look at this coat. It is short hair. I’m not really supposed to go out under 70 degrees.”
“You two are a pair. A pair of what I don’t know.”
“Well, Dad, This yak stick is calling my name.”
“Not much exercise in that thing.”
“Yeah, but it’s like heaven. Think of how my jaws are getting ripped.”
“That’s all we need are muscular jaws around here.”
“Have a seat Lucy. I’m just explaining to Dad the physical wonders of the yak stick.”
“Yeah, good luck with that, Little One.”
“Okay, I’m coming down to see you.”
“Yak stick and all.”
“You two ready to go out?”
“Boss. We need to wait until it is warmer. Besides, your bulldog here has clamped onto the yak stick, and that is a morning shot right there.”
How about that – south Texas and South Yorkshire have the same high forecast for today (15°C/59°F). Have a good Thursday, John.

Huh, never thought we’d match temps on the same day, John, lols. Poor girls need some Halloween jackets! Have a good day, John 🙂

Thanks, Harmony. Lucy hates her jacket. Twiggys went to the new granddog so I think you are right. We need new. 😊

Hope you all find ways to stay warm. It’s been very chilly in our area as well — if only a yak stick to fix it all. 😁

There is a lot of power in a yak stick for sure. Thanks, Gwen. 😊

Really? Favoring a yak stick of the potential of squirrels, maybe even deer? I guess that’s a mystical power.

Twiggy would pick a yak stick over anything. She loves them. (They are made out of Yak milk cheese)

Wow … Yak stick over harassing squirrels. Even barking at delivery trucks?

She is not too fond of them. Sometimes her looks are more irritation than unhappiness. She is fine. Thanks, Liz

The girls are on yo you, John. Sooner or later, nature will call, but I’m betting on later. It’s dark and raining here. I dragged Maddie out, but not without a grumble.

Keep working on that yak stick! And on Dad. It’s cold and rainy up here with a few inches of snow (that won’t stick) predicted on Friday. Tell the girls how lucky they are not to be in New England!

Temperature changes make me worry, dear John. Here we have about 10 C°. It is abnormal for the end of October. And no snow yet. Twiggy & Lucy are wise! It is time to relax after a long warm season at the Twiggy Resort. No deer, no squirrels! Only peace, sleep & certainly yak sticks! 😁😊

I’m probably not going outside today, either, John. But for the exact opposite reason as Lucy & Twiggy. It’s already 75 (at 8:19am) and heading for 88 today. WAY hotter than I want to deal with, thanks, so I’ll just stick to inside chores, I guess. And my morning of working on my WIP. Gonna get three hours today, I think! (Don’t snort. I can do it! I think. 😀 )

You will do it, Marcia. Have a fabulous day.

Did it, John! And I’m happy about what I’ve written so far, so YAY! But I can’t wait for the temps to drop a bit more so I can do some more yard work, and replanting. Hope Twiggy & Lucy have been brave enough to go outside by now. 😀

Yes it is 59 degree which they find okay. Glad you did it.

Even down here at the coast it’s pretty darned cool, but the dog walkers are out. So are the dogs, for that matter, and a couple of them look as reluctant as Twiggy and Lucy.

I’m with the girls…nice to stay snuggled in on such chilly days. Wish we’d get a taste of those cooler temps here on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Temps together with the humidity gave us a ‘real feel’ of around 100 yesterday. :-O A bit much for the end of October…just sayin’….

That’s COLD for your part of Texas, John! Be glad you’re not in the Panhandle where, I understand, they got snow! It’s been chilly here — more so than usual, but we can expect some up and down as Fall transitions to Winter. Time for the dog coats?!

We gave Twiggys to the granddog so we are hoping for the promised 70 degrees on Friday. I remember Illinois falls. Almost anything can happen. Thanks, Debbie

38 degrees?!?! Wow, that is just SO WRONG for your area. I’m wearing a turtleneck and sweater today and it’s 50 in PA, so I can just imagine how the girls feel. I’d stay inside with the yak stick, too 🙂

LOL. I love a brisk morning, John — but today I just can’t blame them. Overnight Tuesday, we got about 4 inches of snow in southeast NM. The temp barely got up to 32. That’s super rare for October. Crystal recommends her electric throw blanket to Lucy and Twiggy. Well, not hers specifically — there’d be a fight over that. 😉 Hugs on the wing.

I think they would like an electric throw, Teagan. As it is they have to put up with an afghan

It is Yak milk cheese formed into sticks and hardened. Dogs can’t resist them.
