Along the side of the main drag in Lakeway is a beautiful display of bluebonnets.

And some wild daisies.

  1. Yes, spring is here, flowers are blooming, nests are being built and I’m gorging myself on your menu!
Thanks for the fried green tomatoes, John. I haven’t had them in at least a year!!

  2. Thank you for showing us all the wonderful reasons that Spring is beloved. The new life, the colors, and birds singing delight. Beautiful.

  3. Bingo! You’re right on the antelope horns. What a great find — I thought I spotted some last weekend, but I was going 60 at the time and wasn’t inclined to stop and turn around.

  4. That spread is sumptuous! I’m stuffed just reading the menu.
Lovely share of pretty spring flowers.
And that little video – don’t you just want to sit by that all day with a book in hand? I videotaped a cardinal singing, too! I just love how they respond when I whistle their tune!
    Happy Sunday, John.

  5. Love seeing the wildflowers, especially the bluebonnets. A coworker planned to travel to Burnett this weekend to see them.

I’m waiting for the coreopsis to appear in a few weeks. The waterfall video was so relaxing.

  6. I was wondering if the bluebonnets were blooming yet. I need to take a road trip. I love seeing fields of them. Thank you for sharing these beautiful signs of spring, John!

      1. No problem. dear John! 😁The Internet never sleeps. We had about 15 degrees today. Tomorrow it will be about +25…however yet snow is expected. Our Nature is becoming wild with us, unreasonable human beings! I have heard about social disorders in Minessota. I hope it will be with as less victims as possible. It is a great feast today here. Every 12th of April Russia celebrates the first space travel made by Yurij Gagarin in 1961. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Happy cosmos day!

        1. Yurij was a great hero. Happy Cosmos Day. Yes, there are demonstrations because another black man was killed by police in Minnesota. It was an accidental shooting but still sparks demonstrations.

  7. Beautiful tour, John. I love this time of year that brings new blooms and new hope along with them. Our orange poppies are popping up all over and they’re glorious. 🙂
Hope you’re having a nice Sunday.

  8. Finally made it by, John! I especially love your Sunday tours, and this one was extra nice. We share some of the same wildflowers, like iris and evening primrose, and even a variety of scarlet salvia very similar to the one you pictured. But OH, what I wouldn’t give to see a field of bluebonnets! Alas, that’s not one we have here. 😦

THANKS for sharing. It made me smile, and after Saturday’s sweltering heat, and today’s heavy, all-day rain, I needed that. Have a great week ahead! 🙂

  9. So many signs of spring. My fellow retired teachers and I gathered outside this past week for our first retirement lunch in over a year—one step closer to normalcy.

  10. After never having luck with bulbs, I decided to give them another try and planted irises last fall. Once again, nothing. I’m done. I’m having the French toast and PB and chocolate dessert!

        1. Yes, it’s an SL, and a 380. Sheesh! And it’s his baby. 🙂 After riding in the car, I appreciate the drive of a really good car. It’s a big wow! He was very excited about your BMW. Really. I smiled when he wanted to tell me details. 😀
