Lucy and Twiggy have to face the cold

“Hey, you two. Time to go outside.”

Well, you see, Lucy and I are really comfortable, Dad.”

“But the day’s a-wasting. You need your exercise.”

“Um, I think we get a lot of exercise.”

“Well, you can always use more.”

“How about the temperature out there?”

“It’s 48 degrees.”

“Pasadena on the outside. Too cold. Besides, my stairs are out of position.”

“Come on, you’ve been out in colder weather.” I’ll fix them.

“There. Your stairs are in the right spot.”

“Oh, all right. Come on, Lucy, time to go out and play.”

“What did I miss back there?”

“Oh, nothing. I was just giving Dad a rough time.”

“Beat you to the pea gravel side.”

“You could have warned me.”

“Yeah, but then I couldn’t win.”

“Boy, it is a little cold out here. Let’s head in.”

“Hey, Dad. Open the door.”

“Yeah, boss. We are freezing out here. Boss?”

    Seems like the whole world got a spot of cold! We got snow, to boot. It’s 27 feels like 14 out there. Ugh. I want my spring back!

  17. That quick cool morning jaunt. We have lots of sun again this morning. Fortunately last night’s snow was much lighter than the night before. That night it was wet thick rip the branches off the trees snow. And the snow still blankets the grass. Happy Thursday John.

  19. I’m so far behind on my blog visits, it isn’t even funny. (Thanks to a dragged out reaction to the second COVID shot, but hey, at least I’ve gotten them both now.) I missed my visits with Twiggy and Lucy, so couldn’t resist stopping by today to see what they were up to. It’s cooler here in Florida, too, at 63 degrees right now, heading to only 73, but nothing like 48. Haven’t seen that since January, if I remember correctly. (Always a big “if.”)

    Thanks for the smile, John! Nothing like these two to brighten a morning, no matter the temps. 😃

  24. They’re always on the wrong side of the door, aren’t they? Forty-eight degrees is pretty cold for your area; I think if I were them, I’d be hunting for a sunny window inside!

  34. That’s c-c-cold for your neck of the woods! I don’t blame the girls for not wanting to go out! We woke on Wednesday morning to 2 inches of snow, then heavy hail on Thursday. I thought Spring had arrived … I guess it took a look around and decided to retreat, eh?
