“There she is. How are you feeling?”
“Pretty much like I’ve been kidnapped for my liver.”

“Well, you have been through a tough procedure.”
“Can’t say it is something I want to do every day.”

“How about your Benny Bone?”
“Let me give it a smell test.”

“Didn’t pass the test?”
“Somehow, Benny has lost some of his appeal right now.”

“Folks can view your shaved body and bandage that will come off today.”
“They can also see I’m like a bird in a gilded cage.”

“Come on, the time will go quickly. You are not allowed to move around a lot.”
“When do you suppose the Screws make their rounds?”

“There are no Screws. It’s just me and Mom.” Did you look at your stitches?”
“I’m still perturbed at the tape pulling. How do they look?”

“Your surgery place looks great.”
“I wonder if I can get someone to bake a cake with a file.”

Poor thing. Not a happy looking doggy, is she? Still; it’s been done and before either of you know it, she’ll be back to her old self, hunting goodness-only-knows-what in the yard.

She is doing very well considering the extent of the injury. You are right she has been happier. Thanks for the good wishes.

She left the vets with one (which we took off on the way home) but so far she is has not bothered her stitches. If she does she has been warned that the cone will come out again. 😁

Poor girl. But her incision looks so good! She’ll be out of her “gilded cage” in no time. Cocktails to the doting parents and extra belly rubs to the patient.

Thank you for the cocktails. We could use a barrel. Twiggy always loves your belly rubs, Staci. She thanks you too. 😊
