I Need to have a name of a write-in for President.
Well, as we all know another week is in the history books. This one was notable in that the first Presidential debate took place and I have decided to write in a WordPress blogger as my choice. I just don’t know who that should be. If you have any suggestions, I am open. It has to be someone who will love the job and be honest enough to serve. I can’t think of one politician who qualifies on both counts so why not a blogger?

For those of you who have been keeping track, this is Friday. it should be the beginning of the last work day of the week for those in the Americas. The rest of the world has already completed the day and may even be looking at the close of Saturday (Aw).
I hope your week was good. I know mine was busy, and I think it will be good to relax and enjoy the weekend. We are expecting a little rain so it might be a good time to grab a book and rest the brain.

It’s Friday again and time to look back on the week. It has been a good one except for the stock market concerns over the lower price of oil. I can never figure that one out. A lower price of oil means lower cost of manufacturing and travel. A lower cost of manufacturing and travel means more income. More income means more discretionary spending. More discretionary spending means better profits. Better profits mean a healthy economy. OH, I GET IT NOW! The street is worried about rising interest rates. So yeah, let’s sell off all our stock because we are worried about a .25% increase in interest rates. Investing in the market should be called gambling on the market. Another work week has flown by quickly. At least I hope it has flown by for you. I can’t explain it but this week has been the fastest. A lot to do in the time available. That always makes the time fly by so fast. Today’s JohnKu talks about the valuable commodity of time.

Wishing there was more.
We finally got a little rain early this week. Not enough to offset the two months of dryness, but as they say, “Every bit helps.” The nice thing is we are expecting a little more next Monday so maybe in combination we will be okay.
The last two days have been back to their old high humidity and high heat index selves. I guess everyone talks about the weather and today’s JohnKu is no exception. I hope you like it.

Another Friday to celebrate. YAY. This week has been a productive one. Got my paperback of Our Justice onto CreateSpace with little or no trouble. I’m waiting for the proof copy to arrive and then will go after the Kindle addition. I have the Kindle file ready to go, but don’t want to put it up until I’m sure te paper edition looks good. My Cherished item is a gold pocket watch that my grandfather carried. He was quite a man. Although he died in 1932, long before I was born, his legacy has continued through the years. Like all the men in our family, his name was John and unlike all the men in our family, he became a surgeon. He practiced medicine until his death. He was a field surgeon during World War I and suffered mustard gas wounds but managed a medical career in spite of his ailment. He is interred in Arlington National cemetary in recognition of his service. His watch is a treasured and cherished item.
Here is the view of the face. The watch was made in Elgin Illinois by the Elgin National Watch Company in 1889. These watches were made on a production line and were very popular. Although not the cheapest they were not the most expensive either. The fact that it is over 100 years old is a tribute to the craftsmanship.
Here is a picture of his headstone which carries his permanent military rank of Major and his home state of Missouri.
Another long week. Been working long hours, but it looks like the project will be taking a lull for a while. It is good to have a breather. Makes it like a vacation. Of course, when consulting vacations come more frequently than normal. I do apologize that I have not been on top of my blog visits but there is only so much time. Means missing out on something…
Choices involve stress.
Another Friday is upon us. Now that I am back in the maw of organized commerce, the day has more significance. I do need some time off. I have been running all week, and as you read this, I will be flying back to Texas from LA. This assignment is such that I’m not sure I will make it home this weekend or not. The pace is pretty brisk and since my role is to develop the strategy for success I have to be involved in all aspects.
If I didn’t want to do it, I would not have said “yes” to the request to be engaged once more. (It is rewarding and a heck of a lot of fun)
