Friday JohnKU – AKA TGIF

Another Friday is upon us. Now that I am back in the maw of organized commerce, the day has more significance. I do need some time off. I have been running all week, and as you read this, I will be flying back to Texas from LA. This assignment is such that I’m not sure I will make it home this weekend or not. The pace is pretty brisk and since my role is to develop the strategy for success I have to be involved in all aspects.

If I didn’t want to do it, I would not have said “yes” to the request to be engaged once more. (It is rewarding and a heck of a lot of fun)

This week’s JohnKu talks to doing what you love. I hope you like it.

Life’s Work by John W. Howell

Work produces much,

Important food on the list…

Love has to be part.

  1. I remember those days!! My last day of work was 6 years ago – THAT’s the day you’re really on Cloud Nine and flying high!!

    1. Mine was four years ago and I know how you feel. This assignment was just too interesting to turn down. Happy weekend GP. 🙂

  2. Glad to hear you’re having fun. Though, I do hope you get to relax and recover some energy this week. Exhaustion can be a nasty fun drainer.

    1. You are so right. Took the red eye from CA and got back to Texas at 2:30 am today. So why am I up now? Who knows.

      1. Time zone difference? Though, I’d vote for a more active brain than body.

  3. I’m happy you’re enjoying the work, John. Take care of yourself. And yes, that’s me leaving work on Friday! 🙂

    1. Ha ha ha. I thought I might have picked the right one. Happy weekend, Jill. 🙂

  4. It’s just great you love your work, John. That’s a win-win situation. 🙂 — Suzanne

    1. Thanks, Suzanne. I wish I had two of me though. Happy weekend. 🙂

  5. The best work is the work you love. Hope you get to enjoy your weekend! MWAH 🙂

    1. Thanks Marie. Big MWAH to you. (sorry about the peanut butter)

  6. Cheers to your passion …. but during your absence, I hope the view didn’t leave.

    1. Nope still here. Thanks, Frank.

      1. Still here … meaning your gulf view or that you are still in LA?

      2. In San Antonio so I’m trusting the Gulf view is still there. 🙂

      3. You are getting closer!

  7. You make Fridays even better, John.

  8. Enjoy your Friday! Sounds like it will a wild weekend!

    1. Ha ha ha. Thanks, Susie. 😀

  9. Such a true Johnku. Well said my friend. I remember the inner rewards of having terrific bosses who respected not just my work, but my insights. There’s nothing like it. I can understand why you accepted. This gig sounds really exciting. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. But just the same, yes — TGIF! Have a fabulous Friday. Mega hugs.

    1. Thank you, Teagan. 🙂

    1. Fixed. Thank you. -)

      1. Glad to be of help.
        Not that I enjoy being
        A grammar Nazi.

      2. I do appreciate it.:-)

  11. Welcome back to the grind, John. It’s always good to truly appreciate a Friday. I hope you make it home in time for the Sunday photo.

    1. Me too. Not looking good right now. 🙂

  12. If you love what you do – keep doin’ it! 🙂 Nice Johnku John 😉

    1. Thanks, Jan. Happy weekend to you

  13. Have a safe trip and wonderful weekend. Get some rest.

    1. Thanks, Andrew

  14. My dad used to tell me that the person who enjoyed his work would never “work” a day in his life — and I’ve always believed that. Glad you’re enjoying the new gig, John. Have a relaxing weekend!

    1. Thanks, Debbie. You as well

  15. It’s ALL about loving what you do, indeed! I’m feeling you on this Friday evening, Boss.

    1. Thanks, Cayman.

  16. I work out of my house and one thing I miss about going to a place of work–besides remembering what day it is (days blend into each other when you work from a home office) is the feeling of Friday meaning a weekend’s upon us. Nice memory.

    1. Thanks for the visit, Jacqui. I know what you mean.:-)
