Wonderful Friday. Such a nice day. Only eight more hours and we can kick back and enjoy the fruits of our labor. I really like lime as a fruit of labor. You can squeeze it, add it to agave distillate juice with some orange liqueur and agave nectar. Toss it into a shaker and shake till ice-cold. Pour into a mason jar, add a slice of lime. Put your feet up while on the veranda and tell the world how much you have earned this little gem. I only have about 1000 words until I can do that later today. Hope you all have a good weekend. I didn’t forget the JohnKu (a term coined by Words4jp). It is called rest. Hope you like it.

I was hoping a margarita would be in there somewhere. The RS’s week is over already and we’re going out to test ride a boat today. What joy! He’s never owned a “new” boat before. 🙂

That is one of my all time favorite songs. Love the John-ku that you attached to it. So very appropriate to the lyrics. Of course I usually put a more permanent loss to the lyrics of this one, but that’s the beauty of music. It is open for interpretation.

It was written for the passing of Vince Gill’s brother so it carries an inherent feeling of permanence of loss. I always think some rest can be of the spirit and not the body. If we were to allow ourselves to rest in spirit as if we had passed, life would take on a deeper meaning. Thank you Kitt for a great observation.
