Always nice that Friday has made it. (or I should say we made it to Friday) Eight hours and the weekend will be upon us. Hope everyone had a good work week. Mine was very productive. I finished some painting (no not artwork) that was needed. Having a house by the Gulf is like being on a boat. There are always little repairs that need attention. I noticed this week the UPS guy was punching our door bell and nothing was happening. It is time for the semi-annual de crusting of the button and a touch up of the contact points. The nice part is I know what to do to make it right. The house is always in need of paint. As you can imagine the salt spray makes Sherwin Williams uncover the house. (Their slogan is Cover the Earth). This week’s JohnKu (A term coined by Words4jp) is all about having a little bitter with the sweet. Hope you like it.

All that is good now,
May require effort to keep. . .
Lunch cannot be free.

Somebody should invent a salt-resistant paint. Though it would probably be priced insanely high.

I have a product called Rust Bullet which does a good job. It costs $24.00 a pint. At best I can only use it for touch up.

That’s a lot of money for so little product. Took a peek on Amazon and was really surprised at how much a gallon is. Nearly $150 bucks. Maybe after a while, enough touching up will cover the house? (I know very little about owning a house.)

Take comfort in the fact that you don’t have to call a repairman to fix that doorbell – I know people who would. It’s been a nice week, but I’m glad to see it slide to an end.

A nice (and very apt) Johnku.
Not that i’m handy enough to fix a doorbell, but i hate the things, and alarms of any kind — make me jump half out of my skin every time. So I would likely have left it broken. 😀
TGIF & hugs!

I agree with you. lately my phone has given me flood and tornado warnings in the middle of the night. The sound reminds me of the dive warning on a submarine.

Ooo… I might have to work that “dive warning” into the serial… 😉 But yes, i can only imagine. My part of TN was hammered with tornado warnings (and no small number of actual tornadoes). I spent too many nights with a pillow in the bathtub… The lack of all that is (for me) the greatest attraction of the desert. Stay safe and well.

A fitting Haiku, John. something always needs fixing around the house.
Another week’s shot by? How did I not notice. Sigh. 😛

An apt Johnku. You are evidently very good at DIY unlike myself. Have a good weekend.
