Friday JohnKu – AKA TGIF #JusJoJan

Funny-Quotes-About-Friday-2

Another week has come and gone, and there are now only 51 weeks left in 2016. Why I decided to look at 2016 this way is not clear. It might be an attempt to slow things down by looking uphill instead of downhill. I think that might be an honorable way of trying to put the skids on the speed with which time passes.

This week has been a challenge. The Chinese stock market has given the world the jitters, and so most of us sit and watch equity vanish. The idea of getting into a panic is one that doesn’t appeal to me. I guess I will have to ride it out and bet on the fact that when the market declines at some point in time, it does rebound. Well, in any case, it is too late. All the smart money already took off. Today’s JohnKu talks about remaining calm during stressful times.

The sea boils with change.

The sun hides and holds its warmth. . .

All this will pass soon.

Love this JohnKu! Watching and worrying about the market is a waste of time and energy. I have to say, I’m thrilled it’s Friday! Happy Weekend, John.

I’ve seen so market ups and downs I just wait it all out. I’m glad it’s Friday although I’m not sure why unless it’s that I woke up this morning. Have a Happy Weekend, John. 🙂 — Suzanne

Ah, the stock market. Something I don’t think I’ll ever understand. Think I’m too much of a ‘money in hand’ guy to pay much attention to stocks. Though why do I always hear about China’s market causing trouble?

Beats me. I don’t understand it myself. China’s stocks are less than 2% of the world stock markets. It is all mental.

Wonder how much of what affects the world is nothing more than psychological tricks. Kind of a like a species wide hallucination.

When you figure out China’s market John, let me know. Until them, I’m investing in coffee and beer.

Great Johnku, John! 😀 For once the sun’s NOT hiding over here for the last few days and there’s a definite nip in the air, with snow forecast as the wind shifts from westerlies to the north… At least it’ll dry out some of the torrential rain we’ve been having – I’m really tired of getting splattered with mud every time I throw a ball for the dogs!

Fitting JohnKu for the times. in terms of your opening graphic, I can say that I’ve said it! … Yep, the contrarian side of me has said that on more than one occasion.

BTW, you will enjoy this article in our paper today. http://tinyurl.com/jsj5dsl … do you remember any of these?

I guess my focus has not been on the Bengals but more on the overall. It is tough when you don’t live in either city.

Yep … and it would be interesting to see a Steelers writer come up with the top 10 games between the two rivals.

Seems like crashes and corrections are happening on an accelerating basis lately. I remember ’87 and thinking, “I gotta get myself a good mattress to keep my money in!”
