Sunday – Fifty-Two Views of the Gulf

IMG_1429

Beautiful day here on the island. Had to maneuver around to avoid spring breakers in the picture. Nothing like a bunch of half dressed teens asking me to take off my shirt for some beads to ruin an image.

I thought I would post one of the last photos of the crossover. I took it from the beach side and it gives you an idea of the scope of the thing. The debris around the base of the structure is what the high tides brought in. That black thing sticking up in the air is a sign warning trespassers that our area is mined and patrolled by black ops mercenaries. (just kidding). It does inform the lost that this is private property

That little mound on the left is the piece of the dune that the pictures previous to the walk over would show. I now take the Gulf picture from the platform to the left of the sign.

Your island is so pretty, John. And you did very well, no spring breakers in your gorgeous images. 🙂

The water looks so very inviting this morning, John. Lovely shot. It’s been a gloomy weekend, but I’m not complaining. We had a full week of positively glorious weather. And now the temps are in the 50s, which I find pleasant enough.
LOL, watch out for spring-breakers with beads! 😀 Mega hugs.

I know right? Last year a young person leaned out of a pickup and said, “Hi old man.” (in a very kind way I might add.)

Have fun this upcoming week with spring breakers. Ugh. o_O
I can’t believe this walkway is finished. What a wonderful place to live in spring and summer. I’m jealous. 🙂

Looks like our Spring’s springing finally too. Played with the dogs in the garden this morning and almost felt too hot with my thick jumper (sweater 😛 ) on/ They’d love your beach, John – so much, I think I’d have difficulty getting them to come back! 😀

Yes they did. We were lucky to have them exclusively which is very rare on the island

What a beautiful day you’re having! After rain this morning, we’re finally seeing a bit of sun. But the clouds are still swirling, with more rain on the approach. Enjoy those spring breakers (and know that season only comes around once a year!!)
