Friday JohnKu – AKA TGIF

Funny FridayAh, another end of the week. We have been waiting anxiously for the equestrian events to begin at the Olympics. We are not much for the other sports but do love to watch horses compete. We enjoyed fifteen years of watching daughter in competition, and I guess it never leaves the blood. Today’s JohnKu talks about passion. I hope you like it.

Happy Friday, John! Enjoy the Olympics. Is that Groucho Marx in disguise?

Very cool. How do they choose horses for the Olympics?

The riders have their own horses and there are events prior to the Olympics where the best are chosen.

I just saw an article about a rider dropping out of the Olympics for the horse’s well being. Need to find that again.

Does happen. Like in a horse race when a horse is scratched because of poor health or injury

Got it. Best to let the animal heal and not push them into further injury.

I guess I’m more interested in the golf and tennis … because Domer and I play. Funny how we never abandon parenting, huh, John? JohnKu is very well done — enjoy your weekend!

Enjoy the equestrian events John. I saw a couple of minutes last night. Perhaps American Football will be included in The Olympics one of these days. Then you will have another sport to follow. I’ve been enjoying the basketball. Team USA are far too good for everyone else, but it will be fun seeing the others fighting over silver and bronze.
