Thursday – A Little Personal – Versatile Blogger Award from Steve Boseley

Versatile Blogger

I was very pleased to receive a nomination from Steve Boseley for a Versatile Blogger Award. Although I don’t normally do awards, I was touched by the fact that Steve considered me for the award. You see, Steve is a very accomplished blogger and his place makes mine look like a cardboard box under a freeway overpass. He is worth a visit, and the link is right HERE.   I want to thank Steve for the nomination.

Here are the rules for the award:

Display Award – Done
Thank blogger(s) who nominated you & provide a link to their blog – Done
Write 7 things about yourself – See below
Nominate Bloggers – See below

Seven Things About Myself

1 I write every day of the week

2 I watch TV one hour every evening

3 My favorite show is The Blacklist

4 My taste in music runs from classical to rock

5 I have never jumped out of an airplane, out of a window, or off a bridge ( Not that circumstances didn’t warrant such action.)

6 My favorite city is San Francisco

7 May favorite food is pasta with wine. (Yes I consider wine a food group.)

Nominate Bloggers.

Here is the hard part and one of the reasons I don’t usually do awards. So what I normally do is choose all my followers.  I used to be able to list all five, but now since I don’t want to slight any of you I’ll just have to leave it with YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Thanks to you all.

  1. Gwen Plano · ·

    Much deserved recognition…congrats!

  2. Congrats, my friend! 🎉

    1. Thanks, Amanda. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Adam. 🙂

  3. Congrats. On the award and never having defenestrated (jumping out a window) yourself. 😁

    1. Love that word, Charles. Maybe I should have. Would have saved many bruises. 🙂

      1. Totally overrated. Unless you defenestrate something else. Being the defenestrated is hard on the knees.

  4. You deserve the recognition, John!

  5. A much deserved award, John. “Cardboard box under a freeway overpass.” LOL! No way!

    1. Ha ha ha. I just liked the analogy. 😀

  6. C.on.g.r.a.t.u.l.a.t.i.o.n.s., John. Happy Thursday to you. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Tess. The same to you.

  7. Congrats, John! Wine is made from grapes, which is a fruit – therefore, a food group. Totally justified.

    1. Thanks, Teri. I knew you would understand.

  8. Congrats John! You & I would get along just fine. Pasta cannot be eaten without wine!

    1. Amen, Lynn. Thank you. 🙂

  9. Congrats on the nomination and the award, John. Loved the facts. An hour of TV viewing is about all I do per day too. And I’m with you on the wine and pasta!

    1. Yes. I have some shows I love and they are an hour so I record them and cut it to 48 minutes. Leaves time for the news.

      1. My husband and I do the exact same thing!

  10. Your cardboard box contains a huge amount of goodies! I nominated a blogger that I have followed for a while and have enjoyed doing so. I’m not so sure about ‘accomplished’, but i’m working on it. Congratulations!

    1. Thanks again. Accomplished is written.

  11. Congrats, John! Creative acceptance post. Did the same (changed the rules) accepting awards. Created an awards page before awards free. Nice to know more about you, humor still there! Good! Happy Thursday! 🎶 Christine

    1. Thank you, Christine. Yeah the humor is still here. 😀

  12. Steve chose… wisely, John.

  13. This is lovely and much deserved, John! I love the random facts about you. We have a few things in common, including The Blacklist and wine. 😉

    1. YES!!!! Thanks, Mar.

  14. Congrats, John! You are a versatile blogger and I always enjoy your posts. I too agree that wine is a food group. 🙂

    1. I have petitioned the USDA for recognition, but sadly……:-D

  15. I think you should jump off or out of something. And not a cake. Go for it! I’ll watch. Congratulations, John. 🙂

  16. Congratulations John. I just nominated you for a blogging award in one of my posts. You’re going to be busy should you choose to accept 🙂

    1. I’ll check it out. Thanks, Don.

  17. Nice! Well deserved too! I’m learning about all of this “award” stuff. I’m glad I learned a little more about you!
