Views of the Neighborhood

As the weather improved the spring breakers, all finally showed up.  Rather than show photos of humanity at its worst, I thought I would concentrate on the more attractive side of crowds. I decided to show you some of the kites that have been flying over the beach.

The first photo is of the store where the kites are born.Kites in Port A

Here is a selection of some of their kites, flags, and windsocks.

Kites of Port A

This one looks like an airplane

Kites over Port Aransas

I happen to catch a guy in a powered kite.

This one has an alien look to it.

This one looks like a shark swimming in the wind.

Here is a very colorful one

I liked this collection. The jellyfish was very attractive

Here is a shot of a flamingo in flight

A butterfly

A hurricane, margarita, palm tree and bird in flight

And finally a beautiful parrot

I hope you have enjoyed these views. Sorry, this post was a little late today. Hope you have a beautiful Sunday.

Great looking against a proper sky. Were they all single-stringers, or were there any two-stringed stunt kites?

There was one stunt kite but I couldn’t get a proper shot. It was too fast for my camera. 🙂

Awesome. Certainly better than the drunken, sunburnt revelry.

These are beautiful John. Great photos and so much better than the great drunken hoard or some kid tossing his cookies in the storm sewer.
